Arconic is currently in search of Direct Materials Sourcing Manager to join our Procurement Organization based in Pittsburgh, PA

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Direct Sourcing Manager to lead procurement activities for aluminum categories, including primary aluminum. This role will be responsible for driving sourcing strategy, supplier development, and cost optimization while partnering closely with global and regional stakeholders.
- Partner with Business Units and Regional Leads to execute and continuously refine the global aluminum sourcing strategy for primary aluminum and value-added products.
- Develop and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs) to the market and identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers.
- Oversee contract management and related supply chain activities, ensuring compliance and performance.
- Drive and report cost savings initiatives for assigned aluminum categories.
- Gather and analyze market intelligence, including commodity trends and key raw material inputs, to inform sourcing decisions and strategic planning.
- Manage monthly spend and spot purchasing activities, ensuring cost-effectiveness and supply continuity.
Key Objectives
- Achieve procurement targets related to cost savings, innovation, quality, and supplier performance.
- Align with and deliver against organizational KPIs, ensuring procurement contributes to broader business goals.
- Act as a key liaison between the Global Metal Procurement Team and site-level stakeholders.
You Have:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
- 7 years of experience in direct materials purchasing (aluminum strongly preferred).
- Proven experience in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.
- This position is subject to Export Control Law. This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. §730, et seq.) and/or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Authorizations from the relevant government agency may be required to meet export control compliance requirements.
Exceptional Candidates Have:
- MBA
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong understanding of commodity markets and cost drivers.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a global and matrixed organization.
