The Customer Support Business Group focuses on enabling our customers with premier customer support throughout their lifecycle with Lam. We drive performance, productivity, safety, and quality of customers installed base performance and deliver service and lifecycle solutions for their most critical equipment and processes.

The impact you’ll make

The Director of Technical Program Management and Enterprise Portfolio Delivery is a leadership role responsible for enabling predictable execution, organizational transformation, and business value realization across a portfolio of strategic initiatives supporting three or more business units. Reporting to the Managing Director of Service Product & Program Management, this role oversees a multidisciplinary organization of approximately >25 Technical Program Managers, Scrum Masters, Change Management professionals, and contingent workers while influencing outcomes across a broader global organization of roughly 200 professionals. The Director serves as the executive owner for portfolio governance, risk and dependency management, Agile delivery excellence, organizational change adoption, and cross-functional execution. This leader partners with Directors, Vice Presidents, and key stakeholders to ensure initiatives are delivered on time, within approved financial targets, and with measurable customer and business impact. The role is expected to drive continuous improvement, strengthen accountability, modernize delivery practices, and champion AI and automation opportunities that improve organizational effectiveness.

What you’ll do

  • Lead approximately 25 TPMs, Scrum Masters, Change Management professionals, and contingent workers.
  • Support portfolios across multiple business units.
  • Partner with Engineering, Product Management, Operations, Finance, Service, Field Support, PMO and external partners.
  • Influence delivery outcomes across a global organization of approximately 200 people.
  • Lead strategic program and portfolio execution.
  • Own enterprise risk, issue, dependency, and governance management.
  • Lead executive reviews, steering committees and portfolio reporting.
  • Oversee Scrum Master and Change Management functions.
  • Drive Agile, Scrum, SAFe, Kanban and hybrid delivery practices.
  • Ensure business readiness, stakeholder adoption and value realization.
  • Develop talent, organizational capability and succession plans.
  • Manage relationships with strategic partners and vendors.
  • Champion AI, automation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Who we’re looking for

We are seeking a transformational leader who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments and is passionate about turning strategy into execution. The ideal candidate is an experienced program and portfolio management executive who knows how to navigate organizational complexity, build high-performing teams, and deliver measurable business outcomes across multiple business units. You are equally comfortable leading senior stakeholder discussions as you are coaching teams through execution challenges.

You bring a strong foundation in technical program management, Agile delivery, organizational change management, and business transformation, with a proven ability to drive alignment across Engineering, Product Management, Operations, Service, Finance, and executive leadership teams. You are a leader who can see around corners, proactively identify risks and dependencies, and create clarity in ambiguous situations. You know how to balance strategic thinking with operational excellence, ensuring that organizations not only deliver programs successfully but also realize lasting business value.

Most importantly, you are passionate about developing people. You excel at building and leading diverse teams of Technical Program Managers, Scrum Masters, and Change Management professionals while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer focus.

Required Qualifications

  • 15+ years of program, portfolio or TPM leadership experience.
  • 7+ years of people leadership experience.
  • Strong software program management background.
  • Deep expertise in portfolio management, governance and delivery execution.
  • Experience with Agile, Scrum, SAFe, Kanban and hybrid methodologies.
  • Exceptional executive communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred qualifications

  • Masters degree in relevant field.
  • Enterprise transformation leadership experience.
  • Experience leading Change Management and Agile practices.
  • Experience with AI, automation and digital transformation.
  • Relevant certifications including PMP, PgMP, SAFe, Scrum or Prosci.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.

Salary

CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $168,000.00 - $350,000.00.

The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
