Business Analyst - Director - Software Engineering

Profile Description

We're seeking someone to join our FORT (Operations Technology) team as a Business Analyst. End-to-end delivery of large-scale distributed applications across analysis, design, coding, testing, and maintenance. The role supports secure and efficient global payments processing and requires strong technical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

This is Director position that develops and maintains software solutions that support business needs.

What you'll do in the role:

  • Analyze front- and middle-office transactional systems and drive business-enablement projects across teams, regions, and the full trade lifecycle.
  • Partner with Front Office, Reporting, Risk, Compliance, Operations, Sales and Trading, IT, and other stakeholders to define requirements for orders, fills, trades, and related data.
  • Analyze transaction-message flows and develop or enhance logical data models that support multiple asset classes, new businesses, and products.
  • Define consistent messaging, data-persistence standards, and strict rules-based data contracts across business and product lines.
  • Perform root-cause analysis of data-contract violations and coordinate with system owners and developers to resolve issues.
  • Manage requirements, documentation, project coordination, and clear communication across global stakeholder groups.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE ROLE:

  • 3–5 years of relevant business-analysis experience and a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Experience with logical data modeling for the representation and storage of trades, ideally using ER diagrams.
  • Broad knowledge of front- and middle-office transactional systems and front-to-back trade flows across asset classes.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to devise creative solutions to complex messaging and modeling problems.
  • Basic SQL knowledge; exposure to DB2, Greenplum, or kdb is desirable.
  • Excellent technical writing, verbal communication, requirements-gathering, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Strong relationship-building, project-management, coordination, and multitasking capabilities in a fast-paced global environment.
  • Experience with FIX messaging and in-depth front-to-back knowledge of at least one asset class, such as Cash Equities or Listed Derivatives, is desirable.
