The Director, IT Business & Revenue Cycle Applications is a member of the Information Services senior leadership team and is responsible for the overall leadership and management of the organization’s business and revenue cycle application portfolio, including ERP (Oracle), Epic Revenue Cycle, and supporting third-party applications approved for use across the organization. This role leads the management, development, integration, optimization, and support of these applications to ensure seamless performance and functionality across the enterprise.

The Director strategically partners with organizational stakeholders to define business applications to include ERP (Oracle) and Epic Revenue Cycle strategies, implementation roadmaps, timelines, and budgets; oversees application transitions using standard change management methodologies; and ensures deliverables are completed on time and within budget to improve operational efficiency and organizational effectiveness.

The Director, IT Business & Revenue Cycle Applications is a member of the Information Services senior leadership team and is responsible for the overall leadership and management of the organization’s business and revenue cycle application portfolio, including ERP (Oracle), Epic Revenue Cycle, and supporting third-party applications approved for use across the organization. This role leads the management, development, integration, optimization, and support of these applications to ensure seamless performance and functionality across the enterprise.

The Director strategically partners with organizational stakeholders to define business applications to include ERP (Oracle) and Epic Revenue Cycle strategies, implementation roadmaps, timelines, and budgets; oversees application transitions using standard change management methodologies; and ensures deliverables are completed on time and within budget to improve operational efficiency and organizational effectiveness.

The Director IT responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Establishes a continuous improvement and best-practices culture to build and sustain high-performing teams supporting the business applications portfolio (including ERP/Oracle and Epic Revenue Cycle); ensures timely escalation and resolution of team and system issues in accordance with departmental protocols.

  • Partners with cross-functional leaders (e.g., Finance, HR, Supply Chain, Revenue Cycle, Clinical Operations, Compliance) to define business requirements, prioritize demand, and deliver application enhancements.

  • Develops and executes portfolio strategy and roadmaps for business applications and Epic Revenue Cycle, aligning plans with organizational goals, growth priorities, and industry best practices.

  • Provides program and project leadership, including scope definition, timelines, resource planning, dependency management, risk mitigation, and milestone tracking.

  • Leads the selection, integration, and ongoing vendor management of third-party applications, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards and the technology roadmap.

  • Ensures performance, security, reliability, and scalability of business applications and Epic Revenue Cycle; proactively addresses risks, incidents, and disruptions.

  • Oversees application lifecycle activities (upgrades, patches, enhancements, and releases) using approved change and release management practices to minimize operational disruption.

  • Builds and maintains strategic partnerships with business executives, Information Techonology teams, and external vendors to ensure delivery of objectives and measurable outcomes.

  • Develops and presents regular reporting to executive leadership on portfolio performance, utilization, value realization, and key risks/issues.

  • Leads and develops talent through hiring, onboarding, goal setting, performance management, coaching, and professional development to improve retention and engagement.

  • Defines and maintains an effective tiered support model and applies service management practices (incident, problem, change, release, service request) to meet service level expectations.

  • Monitors healthcare IT, ERP, and revenue cycle trends (including Epic roadmap and regulatory changes) to identify emerging technologies and recommend adoption where appropriate.

  • Aligns business application and Epic Revenue Cycle technology plans with Information Technology budgeting, forecasting, and financial management processes.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

EXPERIENCE:

  • 10+ years in utilization, support, or management of healthcare ERP and Epic Revenue Cycle systems

  • 5+ years serving in Information Technology function as a Manager, Director, or Leader in business support

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or related field

SKILLS:

  • Demonstrated success leading complex application projects and programs end-to-end (requirements, design, build/configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support).

  • Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences and drive cross-functional collaboration.

This job requires the incumbents to operate an INTEGRIS-owned vehicle OR personal vehicle (non-INTEGRIS-owned) and therefore must have a current Oklahoma State Driver’s License as well as a driving record which is acceptable to our insurance carrier.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

EXPERIENCE:

  • 5-7 years exposure and knowledge with key vendor applications and system (Oracle, UKG, Epic Revenue Cycle)

  • Prior experience with core IT capabilities (Service Management, ITIL, Agile and Project Management, etc.)

EDUCATION:

  • Master’s degree

SKILLS:

  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop teams, fostering a culture of accountability, high performance, and continuous improvement.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning capabilities, including the ability to make data-driven decisions and identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation.

  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare compliance and regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA) and their application to enterprise systems.

  • Strong working knowledge of healthcare ERP (Oracle) and Epic Revenue Cycle, with demonstrated success managing highly complex, integrated systems and applying industry best practices.

  • Highly organized and able to execute independently while influencing outcomes across organizational boundaries.

  • Demonstrates strong commitment to deadlines and deliverables aligned to financial objectives and industry requirements.
