Dir Gestión de Producto Digital (Dir Digital Product Management)

Purpose

Leads and oversees Digital Enablement for Strategic Businesses in International Banking, ensuring digital business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed and delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

Accountabilities

  • Lead and drives a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Develop and execute a cohesive strategy to accelerate the digital transformation at a regional level of strategic businesses, aligned to the enterprise business objectives.
  • Be a digital product management champion, being able to understand stakeholder needs at a local and regional level and creating regional solutions that positively impact the client and that are technically and financially viable. This involves hand in hand coordination with technology, finance and business partners.
  • Lead a team of talented Product Managers and Owners responsible for the digital enablement for strategic business lines by connecting multiple business drivers with customer centred focus. Ensure digital developments enable a desirable, feasible and viable product for the relevant end user.
  • Accountable for the on-time, on-budget, and on-strategy delivery of product outcomes. Ensure careful prioritization, opportunity analysis, and user testing to achieve business results within financial and timing constraints.
  • Build strong business cases for strategic business lines that justify the investment in digital enablement. Closely monitor budget execution and regularly communicate budget need, utilization and forecast adjustments.
  • Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the success and performance of products. Continously optimize based on data-driven insights to achieve objectives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to adapt and evolve the digital strategy based on key drivers such as cost savings and revenue generation.
  • Communicate the strategic roadmap and core digital priorities to the different stakeholders and leaders across the organization.
  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Create an environment in which their team pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values – Scotia Bond – its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.
  • Champions a high performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment; communicating vison/values/business strategy and managing succession and development planning for the team.
  • The incumbent must be team-oriented, possess critical thinking skills, have a passion for innovation, Agile framework and play a key role in supporting strategic projects and managing relationships with key stakeholders.

Education / Experience / Other Information

  • 10+ years of experience in product management leadership
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, +10 years of equivalent work experience, MBA is a strong asset
  • Experience in working at a regional level, identifying shared needs to craft regional solutions, an asset
  • Exceptional strategic planning skills and proven ability to develop strategies and action plans
  • Expertise in Lean/agile principles; demonstrated success fostering experimentation and calculated risks to drive product innovation.
  • Strong organizational and financial analysis (e.g. business case) asset skills an asset
  • Strong technical competency an asset
  • Strong understanding of UX Design an asset
  • A collaborative leader who leverages diversity across disciplines/locations/levels to fuel creativity and innovation in product design.
  • Financial services experience an asset
  • Bilingual Spanish/English is required

Working Conditions

  • Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence.
  • Periodic International travel may be required
  • High level of stress due to managing multiple and conflicting priorities and deadlines
