Schedule:Full-Time, Day Shift Monday to Friday, (8 am -5:00 pm)
Responsible for directing and maintaining a fully integrated, system-wide operation that supports securing payment/funding sources for self-pay and other referred accounts. Responsible for ensuring that the financial needs of customers are met through the various programs offered throughout the organization thus meeting the organization’s goals of maximizing the effectiveness of such programs. Programs include but are not limited to; RGHS financial assistance, grants, third party insurers, COBRA, government programs, community based programs and entitlement programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintains thorough knowledge of various programs / funding sources in effort to maximize the resources available to uninsured and underinsured patients.
Maintains thorough knowledge of all regulations and laws related to financial counseling, collections and third party reimbursements.
Establishes / maintains an effective system-wide Financial Counseling process that includes: identification and/or referral of accounts, assessment and screening of referred accounts, an all-inclusive application process, qualification / adjudication as well as provides personal customer service.
Ensures all referred accounts are processed timely and accurately, maximizing the effect of all related programs.
Directs and maintains an effective Self Pay Collections and Customer Services processes following all RGHS policies and government regulations.
Ability to report and track all data necessary for financial reporting.
Minimum Qualifications:
Four year business or healthcare related degree preferred
Equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered
5 years of increasingly responsible management experience within the field of social work or revenue cycle, preferably in a hospital setting.
Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Knowledge of and experience with automated systems required.
Demonstrated ability to improve and integrate workflows and processes.

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
