General Description:

The Dining Tech & Systems Intern will work closely with the leadership team within Fisher Dining to develop practical skills and experience supporting technology and systems within a hospitality environment. This hands-on internship will provide experience with technology troubleshooting, menu programming, digital signage, service ticket coordination, system support, and the implementation of technology solutions across dining operations.

The intern will have the opportunity to work with multiple dining locations and operational teams, gaining valuable experience in problem resolution, system administration, technology implementation, communication, and client support. This position is designed to provide practical experience that can support future opportunities in IT Support, Technology, Hospitality Technology, or Systems Administration.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot dining technology, software, and equipment issues.
• Program and maintain digital menus and digital signage.
• Assist with menu and system programming across dining platforms.
• Coordinate, track, and follow up on technology service tickets.
• Assist staff with basic technology support and system questions.
• Test system updates and new technology implementations.
• Assist with identifying and resolving technology issues that impact daily dining operations.
• Communicate with vendors and support teams regarding technology issues and service requests.
• Assist with maintaining accurate and up-to-date system information.
• Provide operational support for dining technology and serving platforms.
• Assist with technology-related projects, upgrades, and new system implementations.
• Work with different areas of the operation, including Front of House, Back of House, Catering, Marketing, and Administration.

This is a paid intern position; however, it is not eligible for paid time off (PTO) or benefits such as medical, dental, vision, etc.

Because this position requires you to perform services in an educational facility, there may be periods when the Company does not require you to perform work (such as winter and summer breaks when food service needs decline or cease). Any such periods during which you do not perform work on the Company’s behalf may be unpaid and deemed a temporary layoff. However, depending on business needs, you may be required to work year-round, potentially at a different location during break periods. Business needs may vary from year to year.
