We're seeking a passionate Dining Services Attendant, Senior to bring their skills to our dynamic team. As a Dining Services Attendant, Senior you will perform various duties necessary for the preparation and service of food. You will provide quality customer service to students, faculty, staff, and guests. This position may require working days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Inputs, receives and stores storeroom orders.
  • Prepares the unit for opening by stocking, setting up signs, ensuring cleanliness, and checking equipment.
  • Sets up Sequoia, retrieves banks and prepares the market and food as needed.
  • Monitors food quality and employee productivity.
  • Communicates openly with staff and supervisor.
  • Completes product orders as required.
  • Trains employees in their job duties and health codes requirements.
  • Actively develops and supports a team based focused environment within Student Unions.
  • Rings up orders accurately, accepts payment and provides correct change.
  • Counts bank to verify accuracy.
  • Enters totals on reports as required.
  • Participates in employee discipline and guidance.
  • Actively supports labor and food cost budget goals.
  • Oversees and assists with weekly inventory.
  • Controls labor and food costs.
  • Performs forecasting, identifies service needs, and modifies delivery information as needed.
  • Greets and serves customers in a friendly courteous manner.
  • Provides suggestions and input to supervisor.
  • Actively solves problems whenever possible.
  • Works harmoniously with coworkers.
  • Ensures all areas are staffed and delegates job assignments.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

  • Knowledge of food service operations, including sanitation standards and food preparation.
  • Knowledge of labor cost and food cost budgets.
  • Knowledge of food service equipment, such as steamers, slicers, and fryers.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Knowledge of Food Pro.

Physical Requirement:

  • Occasionally lift a maximum of 50lbs.

Notice of Availability of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report
In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University’s campuses. These reports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims. As a campus with residential housing facilities, the Main Campus ASR also includes a combined Annual Fire Safety report with information on fire statistics and fire safety systems, policies, and procedures.
