What You'll Do

As a Dining Cook, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional meals while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and presentation. Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing hot entrées, soups, vegetables, and side dishes for multiple dining venues
  • Following recipes and production sheets to ensure consistency and excellence
  • Applying best practices in food preparation, handling, sanitation, and safety
  • Conducting food quality checks, temperature monitoring, and taste testing for every meal
  • Completing advance food preparation and maintaining accurate production records
  • Properly storing ingredients and prepared foods according to safety guidelines
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment
  • Following safe work practices, including lifting, bending, and equipment operation procedures
  • Supporting emergency preparedness and safety initiatives as needed
  • Collaborating with team members and other departments to create a positive dining experience
  • Assisting with additional duties that support departmental success

What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone who combines culinary talent with a genuine passion for serving others.

  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-focused environment
  • Previous cooking experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or a related setting
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Dependable, positive, and customer-service oriented attitude
  • Creativity and enthusiasm for preparing memorable meals
  • Ability to speak and read in English
