A total of two Smart Start positions will be recruited for the Digitalization Department. Please find the details below.

Key Responsibilities of Smart Start Software Engineer

• Develop web applications together with our team — Angular on the frontend, C# .NET Core on the backend.
• Build and consume REST APIs with JSON-based communication between our systems.
• Work with Docker to package and deploy applications consistently across environments.
• Manage your work in Azure DevOps — version control, CI/CD, sprint boards, the full agile cycle.
• Support the registration and documentation of applications in LeanIX for lifecycle tracking.
• Join requirement workshops with internal customers and translate what you hear into user stories.
• Contribute to dashboards and user interfaces that shop floor teams actually use every day.

Key Responsibilities of Smart Start Connectivity Engineer

• Support machine connectivity projects on the shop floor — connecting MAEs to MES, databases, and cloud systems.
• Work with OPC UA to collect and serve device signals via standardized protocols.
• Get hands-on with connectivity hardware and tools such as ACCON Delta Logic, IBH S7 Lan, and Rexroth ctrlX for machines without native Ethernet.
• Support gateway configuration to connect, collect, route, and monitor signals between machines and target systems.
• Help map machine data points and build data collection concepts for MES and process requirements.
• Analyze and troubleshoot connectivity and data collection issues together with the team.
• Support for AI camera integration and machine learning activities within the plant and monitoring the systems.

Qualifications

Qualifications of Smart Start Software Engineer

• Become to third or senior degree student in the Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or Mechatronics backgrounds are a strong plus
• Ability to work 3-5 days a week
• Good verbal and written English communication skills
• Familiarity with at least one programming language — C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript or similar, C# knowledge will be a strong plus.
• Curiosity about frontend frameworks (Angular, React), databases (SQL), and version control (Git).
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to ask questions, present your work, and explain technical things simply.
• Eager to learn, proactive, and comfortable in an international and intercultural environment

Qualifications of Smart Start Connectivity Engineer

• Become to third or senior degree student in the Mechatronics, Electrical-Electronics, Control Engineering backgrounds are a strong plus.
• Ability to work 3-5 days a week
• Good verbal and written English communication skills
• Interest in PLC and control systems (Siemens, Rexroth, or similar) and industrial communication protocols.
• Basic knowledge of databases (SQL) and any scripting or programming language is a plus; Node-RED and Grafana are nice-to-have.
• Strong communication skills — you'll be talking to production, maintenance, and IT teams, sometimes all in the same hour.
• Curious, hands-on, and not afraid of the shop floor.
