We are seeking a Digital Video Test Engineer with 2 to 4 years of experience in IPTV and OTT testing environments. This role is ideal for individuals with hands-on experience across digital video platforms including Set Top Boxes (STB), mobile applications, Smart TVs, Apple TV and Fire TV devices. The successful candidate will contribute to end-to-end testing activities, defect management, log analysis and collaboration with product and client teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality video services and customer experiences.
•Graduate in Computer Science or an equivalent discipline.
•2 to 4 years of experience in the digital video domain, including IPTV and OTT projects.
•Experience testing Cable and Satellite Set Top Boxes.
•Experience in API testing using Postman or equivalent tools.
•Knowledge of Headend platforms and video management solutions such as Kaltura.
•Understanding of networking concepts, router/modem configuration, multicasting and bandwidth throttling.
•Understanding of media ingest processes, nPVR, Video on Demand (VoD) and Electronic Programme Guide (EPG).
•Experience with end-to-end IPTV configuration, installation and troubleshooting.
•Understanding of adaptive bitrate streaming technologies including MPEG-DASH, HLS and HDS.
•Knowledge of DRM and CDN technologies.
•Experience using network analysis and debugging tools such as Wireshark, Fiddler and Charles Proxy.
•Familiarity with Android Debug Bridge (ADB) and Xcode for iOS troubleshooting is desirable.
•Exposure to system integration testing of features such as recommendation engines and reporting platforms, including Splunk or equivalent solutions, is desirable.
•Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools and defect management processes.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
•Demonstrated logical thinking, analytical problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
•Ability to effectively prioritise tasks and manage workload.
•Comfortable collaborating with local and customer teams in multicultural environments.
•Adaptable to changing priorities and fast-paced project environments.
