Digital Transformation & ERP Consultant

Location: Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

Experience: Minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience in ERP implementation, digital transformation, business process improvement, or technology-enabled operations; logistics / 3PL / supply chain related background is mandatory

Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field

Languages: English is required; Arabic will be an added advantage

About the Role

The Digital Transformation & ERP Consultant will support the client in driving ERP-enabled transformation, process digitization, and operational improvement across logistics and supply chain functions. The role requires a practical consultant who can bridge business operations, ERP systems, IT teams, vendors, and end users to ensure that technology solutions are aligned with real operational needs and deliver measurable business value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support ERP implementation, enhancement, rollout, integration, testing, and post-go-live stabilization activities.
  • Assess current business processes across logistics, warehousing, transportation, customer service, finance, billing, and commercial workflows.
  • Identify process gaps, manual workarounds, duplication, control weaknesses, and opportunities for digitization or automation.
  • Develop current-state and future-state process maps, SOPs, functional requirements, user stories, and transformation roadmaps.
  • Work closely with business users, IT teams, ERP vendors, implementation partners, and senior stakeholders to ensure practical system design and adoption.
  • Support configuration inputs, master data readiness, UAT, issue resolution, cutover preparation, user training, and hypercare activities.
  • Ensure logistics-specific workflows such as order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, shipment execution, inventory visibility, invoicing, claims, and contract billing are captured in system design.
  • Collaborate on integration requirements between ERP, WMS, TMS, customer portals, finance systems, reporting tools, and other digital platforms.
  • Define dashboards, KPI requirements, exception reports, and operational analytics to improve visibility and decision-making.
  • Drive change adoption by conducting workshops, training sessions, process walkthroughs, and super-user enablement activities.
  • Monitor ERP utilization, system discipline, process compliance, and user adoption; recommend improvements where required.
  • Prepare project updates, management presentations, risks/issues logs, change requests, sign-off records, and benefits realization reports.

Competencies

  • Mandatory logistics, 3PL, warehousing, transportation, ports, freight forwarding, or related supply chain domain knowledge.
  • Strong functional understanding of ERP systems, workflows, master data, controls, integrations, and reporting requirements.
  • Experience in digital transformation, business process improvement, and technology-enabled operational change.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into functional specifications, process maps, and implementation actions.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage leadership, users, vendors, IT teams, and operational staff.
  • Strong project coordination skills across requirements gathering, testing, rollout, training, and stabilization phases.
  • Analytical thinking, problem-solving, and ability to identify root causes of recurring process or system issues.
  • Good understanding of operational KPIs, dashboards, data quality, user access controls, and process governance.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, documentation, and presentation skills.
  • Planning and organizing, delivering results, resilience under pressure, and adapting effectively to change.
