Corning’s Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays (“LCDs”) that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Designs, develops and programs methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze unstructured, diverse “big data” sources to generate actionable insights and solutions for client services and product enhancement.
• Interacts with product and service teams to identify questions and issues for data analysis and experiments.
• Develops and codes software programs, algorithms and automated processes to cleanse, integrate and evaluate large datasets from multiple disparate sources.
• Identifies meaningful insights from large data and metadata sources; interprets and communicates insights and findings from analysis and experiments.
• Follows standard practices and procedure in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained.

Education & Experience

• BS/MS degree in Statistic, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Management, Industrial Engineering or related disciplines
• One years or above experiences in data analytics field

Required Skills

• Familiar with data analysis technics (e.g. data mining/machine learning)
• Computer: Excellent Excel, Access, power BI
• Programming: Python, SQL, Java (Hadoop is a plus)
• Statistic tool: Minitab/SAS/SPSS
• Excellent communication skill in cross-department project and collaborations
• Good English comprehension in speaking, writing and reading.

Desired Skills

• Project management skill
• Experience in implementing DMAIC methodology and leading 6-sigma project
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Chinese (Mandarin).
