Hobart City Mission is seeking a passionate and community-focused Digital Trainer to lead digital literacy initiatives across Southern Tasmania.

Employed by Hobart City Mission as the host organisation for the Workforce Participation and Training Program, you will design and deliver engaging digital literacy programs for vulnerable individuals, community groups, not-for-profit organisations. From everyday digital skills and cyber safety to AI and emerging technologies, you'll empower people to participate confidently in work, learning and community life.

About the role:

• Develop the adult digital literacy program for HCM in collaboration with the community, service providers, community services and other organisations.
• Develop and deliver digital literacy programs in the community for target cohorts including vulnerable individuals, not-for-profit groups, community services and other organisations.
• Establish relationships with local community groups to develop and strengthen community digital literacy networks and build awareness of digital literacy and the project in the region.
• Report on the effectiveness of the project including related stakeholder engagement strategies designed to drive local participation.
• Work with and support the activities of the Hobart City Mission programs to improve foundational digital literacy in the community.
• Participate in the Hobart City Mission Community of Practice to share insights on project implementation

About you :

• Relevant qualifications
• Experience in developing and delivering training, education or community programs.
• Strong digital skills, including Microsoft Office, AI tools, Canva, social media, cyber safety and emerging technologies.
• Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
• Experience working with vulnerable people or an understanding of the barriers faced by adults with low literacy and digital literacy.
• Strong planning, organisation and project coordination skills.
• The ability to develop accessible learning materials for people with varying levels of digital confidence.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to build trusted community partnerships.
• A proactive, innovative approach with sound judgement and problem-solving skills.
