Lush Global Digital Limited is in its eighth year, having been set up in July 2017 as part of the Lush Group. The company is dedicated to supplying Lush entities with uniquely designed and built technology, customised to supporting the Lush business globally. As well as this, providing the network infrastructure to support the growing business and making a conscious effort to ensure the use of ethical technology throughout Lush.

As part of the continued pursuit to improve our global system architecture, a number of transformation programmes are currently underway in Manufacturing, Retail and Finance. We are also constantly releasing new features and tools for customers and staff across our Digital estate. As a result, we require a Digital Systems Accountant to support rollout and post implementation support of finance and Digital systems across the business. Acting as the link between Finance and Digital, the role ensures that systems are fit for purpose, support efficient and accurate reporting, and meet evolving business needs, including already existing and new Digital systems and features. This is a global role and requires a high level of stakeholder engagement and management, as well as providing financial acumen and an attention to detail. This role would suit someone with a keen interest in technology and systems and proven track record of delivering software solutions. Previous project management experience would be a bonus as there will be a number of different tracks of work moving at the same time. We would also encourage a high degree of initiative, self discovery and constant learning in the digital and technology space. As a global role, travel will be likely, as and when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a key finance representative during system implementations, upgrades, and integrations.
• Translate finance requirements into system specifications in partnership with project teams and suppliers.
• Lead data migration, chart of accounts design, workflow setup, testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Working with finance teams, ensure financial accuracy of postings in line with relevant accounting standards.
• Setup and maintain systems and reporting to ensure reconciliation accuracy and speed.
• Improve efficiencies to support simplification of audit and implement tools to automate audit process.
• Ensuring new systems are implemented accurately and supported through design to post implementation, supporting audit tests at year end.
• Actively work with local teams to review processes and implement efficiency improvements alongside system rollouts.
• Manage and maintain the finance systems/feature backlog and provide updates on progress on tickets.
• Delivery, training and documentation creation for end users.
• Monitor system performance and collaborate on future enhancements.
• Produce and maintain system architecture maps and data flows in conjunction with our digital and data privacy teams.
• Provide troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of system issues.
• Gather feedback from users to identify and prioritise enhancements and configuration changes.
• Serve as a liaison between finance, IT, and third-party vendors to manage post-implementation changes.
• Develop and implement financial reports and dashboards using system tools (e.g. Power BI).
• Ensure financial controls, audit trails, and compliance standards are met within the system environment.
• Implement solutions to automate recurring tasks and review current processes across all finance teams to harmonise activities and reduce duplication of effort.
• Improve accuracy and timeliness of account submissions, visibility of information and cashflow forecasting.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) or finalist.
• Proven experience in supporting or delivering finance systems implementation (full lifecycle or post-go-live).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate clearly across teams.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Deep understanding of financial software and accounting principles, processes and controls (GL, AP, AR, fixed assets, balance sheet controls).
• Knowledge in Xero, Odoo or Workday Adaptive desirable but not essential.
• Strong skills in change management, process improvement and data migration.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• A desire to constantly drive new ideas, perspectives, and ways of working.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proactive, self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset.
