Abound by Carrier (abound.carrier.com) is a cloud-native platform that unites siloed building data from existing building systems to help create smarter and more resilient spaces that improve occupant wellness and building performance. It does this by leveraging edge technology and data generated by cloud-based sensors.

About this role

The Digital Products Trainer / Developer for the Abound by Carrier platform will create and deploy training materials leveraging various media including print, web, video, and interactive graphics. Using a blended skillset of storytelling, graphic design and technical proficiency, the Digital Products Trainer will articulate best practices, how-to tips, tricks, FAQs, and other materials necessary for end users, operators, administrators, and channel partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Developing training content and materials for various Carrier Digital Solutions platforms (e.g. Abound)
• Provide training in both traditional classroom and virtual classroom formats.
• Exhibit proficiency with building automation & control systems, IT technologies and software-as-a-service (SaaS) offerings
• Knowledgeable of building control/IT protocols and the integration of building sub-systems and the Building Internet of Things (BIoT),

Basic Qualifications

• 4 year technical degree
• 5+ years of experience with creating, training, presenting, or educating highly technical content

Preferred Qualifications

Other qualifications you may have that would be beneficial in this role include:

• Diverse verbal and written communication styles and the knowledge of which style to use with the audience at hand
• Course development experience, including facilitator led (traditional classroom), facilitator led e-learning (virtual classroom), and self-directed e-learning (video tutorial) formats
• Strong consulting capability with strong interpersonal, presentation and facilitation skills

• 3+ years of experience in design, installation, and commissioning of building management systems
• Completion of a Training or Presenting certification program
• Working knowledge of one or more Carrier products/solutions/applications
• Working knowledge of multiple building control protocols
• Understanding of and experience with the Building Internet of Things (BIoT)
• Working knowledge of Authored Application Programming Interfaces (APIs)
• WELL Standard Certified AP preferred
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) Certified Cloud Practitioner preferred
• Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite for developing presentations and student material
• Knowledge of video creation tools (Camtasia, simulation software, or equivalent)
• Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) for eLearning distribution
