Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as a Digital Solutions Specialist. As a key member of the Business Development team, you will support the Digital Solutions Officer (DSO) in delivering our digital solutions strategy with a specific focus on underwriting/new business. Candidates with a passion for digital transformation will be highly valued.

Your Role

  • Business Development: Support the DSO in engaging in business development activities. Utilize our leading position in automated underwriting to develop innovative digital solutions that address clients' needs and pain points.
  • Project Management: Work with the DSO to manage projects aimed at further enhancing operational efficiencies and quality in domains including, but not limited to, new business underwriting and distribution.
  • Collaboration: Serve as a key liaison between clients and internal experts, including underwriting and actuarial specialists, as well as data scientists. Work closely with these teams to identify clients' pain points and translate them into actionable solutions. Collaborate proactively to ensure the successful implementation of digital solutions.
  • Client Engagement: Maintain robust relationships with key stakeholders across target clients. Leverage your expertise to deeply understand clients' practices and operations. Facilitate smooth communication with clients and ensure the effective delivery of our solutions by aligning them with clients' unique requirements and operational processes.

Your Profile

  • Experience of Underwriting in the Life (re)insurance sector, or a background in one of the following areas: distribution, new business operations, or claim management.
  • Strong aptitude for analysis and problem-solving.
  • Open-mindedness and willingness to learn innovative digital solutions, to play a bridging role between clients and internal experts.
  • Demonstrated commitment to collaboration and honesty, fostering a cooperative environment.
  • Native-level proficiency in Japanese.
