Job Description

  • Lead end-to-end requirement analysis for payment and financial service integrations, collaborating with product teams, compliance, partners, and operations to capture, validate, and document clear, traceable integration requirements across PSP Middleware platforms.

  • Define high-level integration architecture and delivery roadmaps through cross-functional workshops, aligning business processes with middleware, API management, and enterprise integration capabilities supporting mobile money, payment gateways, and partner ecosystems.

  • Own the middleware architecture that connects core wallet platforms, payment switches, banking partners, merchants, and external service providers. Design and implement integration patterns including synchronous APIs, asynchronous messaging, event-driven transaction flows, and secure partner integrations.

  • Ensure high-quality delivery of middleware services through structured unit, integration, and system testing, rapid defect resolution, and adherence to financial industry standards for security, data integrity, and transaction reliability.

  • Manage enhancements and lifecycle support of existing APIs and integration services supporting payments, wallet operations, merchant transactions, and settlement flows, ensuring controlled change management, versioning, backward compatibility, and uninterrupted financial transactions.

  • Monitor integration platform performance, transaction throughput, and service reliability across payment channels, proactively planning scaling, optimization, and platform upgrades to support transaction growth, partner onboarding, and digital financial service expansion.

  • Perform capacity forecasting and budget planning for middleware and integration platforms, aligning infrastructure scaling with projected transaction volumes, merchant growth, partner integrations, and regulatory compliance requirements.

  • Drive SDLC governance, operational discipline, and continuous technology evolution across middleware platforms, evaluating emerging integration technologies, payment industry standards, and financial ecosystem trends to improve system resilience, scalability, and integration efficiency.

Academic Qualification

  • B.Sc in CSE / ECE / ETE

Job Experience Required

  • 4 years of experience in Enterprise Integration, Application Development and DevOps

Required Capabilities

  • Strong knowledge of software development using languages such as Java, Python, PHP, Javascript and Bash, with experience in modern backend and web frameworks including Spring Boot, Laravel, React and Node.js, enabling development and maintenance of scalable middleware and API services.

  • Solid experience with database technologies such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB and high-performance analytics databases i.e Clickhouse, Elasticsearch etc. with the ability to design efficient schemas and optimize data access for high-volume transaction systems.

  • Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns, including synchronous and asynchronous communication, request–reply, publish–subscribe, event-driven architectures, and message-based integrations used in financial transaction platforms.

  • Sound knowledge of API gateway platforms, microservices architectures, containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and Kubernetes-based deployment environments, ensuring reliable delivery and scalability of middleware services in high-availability financial platforms.

  • Understanding of mobile financial services and digital payment ecosystems, including wallet systems, payment gateways, merchant integrations, settlement processes, partner APIs, and connections with banking or switching systems.

  • Experience working within secure and regulated financial environments, with awareness of API security, transaction integrity, compliance requirements, and operational reliability for payment systems.

  • Working knowledge of Agile and DevOps delivery practices, enabling efficient collaboration across product, engineering, and operations teams for rapid delivery of integration services.

  • Familiarity with industry integration standards, API governance practices, and open API frameworks used in digital financial services ecosystems.

  • Exposure to data analytics, intelligent automation, or AI-driven operational insights (such as fraud monitoring, transaction pattern analysis, or customer behavior analysis) will be considered an added advantage.
