About the role:

We are currently seeking a Digital Solutions Architect to join our Digital Solutions team and play a key role in delivering technical expertise on various software development projects for the Digital Department across all Aegean & Olympic Air digital channels. In this role, you will provide technical solutions for customer-facing digital developments ensuring that the software providers use best practices and optimization of developed backend components in our digital solutions and applications.If you are driven to use of the latest technologies and frameworks and want to make an impact in the dynamic aviation industry, take the next step in your career and apply today!

What you will do

  • Analyze business and technical needs and propose appropriate technology solutions for new digital initiatives or enhancements to existing platforms
  • Review and validate digital solutions proposed by external technology partners to ensure alignment with business, technical, and architectural requirements
  • Ensure digital solutions are scalable, secure, and high-performing
  • Participate in technical analysis sessions with internal teams and third-party vendors, providing feedback on functional requirements and defining corresponding non-functional requirements
  • Evaluate the quality and effectiveness of vendor-delivered external APIs and develop backend prototypes using modern technologies and relevant APIs
  • Ensure comprehensive technical documentation is produced and maintained for all digital developments
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of delivered features using vendor public interfaces or graphical user interfaces

You fit, if you cover the following requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering or in a related field
  • Fluency in oral and written Greek and English
  • 3 years of professional working experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of SOAP/XML, REST APIs and API design best practices
  • Hands-on expertise in developing reusable APIs, artifacts/frameworks, reference architecture, design, development and QA best practices
  • Previous experience in Microservices and Domain-Driver-Design, DevOps engineering will be considered a strong asset
