As a Digital Sales Engineer for Measurement Solutions, you will be part of the Emerson Italy sales organization, responsible for driving growth across the Measurement portfolio (Pressure, Temperature, Level, Analytical, and Flow). You will manage and grow sales within an assigned territory by engaging with both existing and new customers primarily through digital and remote channels.

In this role, you will act as the human connection behind Emerson’s digital sales experience, leveraging phone, email, web meetings, CRM, and digital platforms to deliver value, build trust, and ensure an outstanding customer experience. You will collaborate closely with the commercial organization to deploy targeted sales campaigns, introduce new products and solutions, and consistently achieve agreed sales targets. This position is ideal for a motivated, results-driven sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced, connected, and technology-enabled environment.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Manage the assigned territory using digital tools to remotely engage with existing and prospective customers, understand their needs, and propose tailored Measurement solutions
• Identify, qualify, and develop new sales opportunities through digital prospecting activities, expanding Emerson’s customer base within targeted industry segments
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to execute focused sales campaigns aimed at specific customer segments and stakeholders, introducing new products and solutions to both new and existing customers
• Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of the Measurement portfolio relevant to each campaign, clearly articulating value propositions and differentiators
• Demonstrate a strong “hunter” mindset, showing persistence and determination in overcoming objections and closing sales opportunities
• Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships through consistent follow-up and a high standard of customer service
• Coordinate and orchestrate support from subject matter experts, product specialists, solution experts, and other internal stakeholders to create compelling and differentiated value propositions
• Drive pricing realization by positioning the portfolio to maximize customer value, closing deals with urgency while ensuring the best achievable price
• Effectively use CRM systems, sales automation tools (e.g., Salesloft), and digital marketing and intelligence platforms (e.g., IIR, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn) to identify opportunities, track activities, and maximize sales effectiveness
• Provide regular reporting and insights on sales activities, campaign performance, and market feedback to the sales manager

For This Role, You Will Need:

• A STEM degree or equivalent professional experience
• Fluency in Italian and English
• An understanding of the industrial automation and instrumentation market, including sensors, measurement devices, and control systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer-oriented mindset
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• High self-motivation with a strong drive to achieve and exceed sales targets
• Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office applications

• Power BI knowledge or experience
