WTAJ is searching for a full-time Digital Reporter to join the WTAJ news team in our office in Johnstown, Pennsylvania (on-site). We want someone who’s a skilled writer, knows how to craft attention-grabbing headlines, and understands that strong journalism and smart digital execution are not separate skills—but the same job. This is an opportunity to do meaningful work in a newsroom investing in its digital future.
WTAJ is a digital‑first local newsroom that cares deeply about the communities we cover. In this role, you will help shape what our audience reads, watches, and engages with every day — on web, mobile, social, broadcast, and streaming platforms.
The digital reporter will be able to reach out to contacts, source the web and find information on social media to build stories across multiple websites, including WTAJ, WTAJ.com, and our streaming app WTAJ+. The ability to take photos and create videos is a plus. A strong knowledge of social media platforms is expected.
