About this role

This position is for a senior professional with deep knowledge and highly developed technical expertise in Program Management, who leads medium-sized programs. Develops program plans, schedules, and budgets. Supports strategic planning efforts, solutions for program problems, contract negotiations, and manages important vendors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for creating, owning and managing overarching multi-year program plans to support launching of CHVAC Digital Products and Solutions at a global scale.
  • Accountable for balancing scope, schedule and resources as well as following Carrier’s program management practices and disciplines such as Passport, ASG etc.
  • Partner closely with the Carrier engineering and digital teams in establishing and executing on a common digital services technology roadmap.
  • Work closely with the CHVAC Service & Aftermarket product management team to understand the customer needs, product plans, value propositions and drive alignment between various teams in CHVAC and Carrier.
  • Work with CHVAC Business Transformation Office, executive leadership and develop close linkages to ensure there is no duplication of effort and drive alignment that is beneficial to Carrier and its customers.
  • Oversee and enforce adequate change management principles and processes for customer/stakeholder facing product and solution launches.
  • Establish business agility through agile methodologies applied to technology delivery teams.
  • Monitor, and be accountable for, key success metrics for execution of digital products, on time delivery, on budget, agile metrics like release burndown, velocity etc.
  • Stay updated in the industry trends in cloud and IoT technologies.
  • Maintain healthy team dynamics and contribute to retaining talent.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology
  • 7+ years of managing technical/digital/Software programs as a project manager/program manager

Preferred Qualifications

Other qualifications you may have that would be beneficial in this role include:

  • MBA or Master’s degree in a technical field
  • 5+ years of working with global cross-functional teams in multiple time-zones
  • Very strong command in program and project management discipline
  • 3+ years of experience in software development/agile/cloud services/IOT
  • Experience in data analysis and business process improvement/automation
  • Experience with end-to-end IoT architecture and AWS cloud solutions
  • Deeply rooted technical background with excellent understanding and mastery of agile software development principles and practices/Scrum Master
  • Technology and feature roadmap development experience as product manager or product owner
  • Experience with remote monitoring applications
  • Ability to develop new ideas through collaboration, evaluate value and execute on prioritized ideas
  • Ability to negotiate internally and with end customers
  • Detail oriented and highly organized with ability to drive accountability and progress
  • Experience in leading with influence and building strong relationships
  • Sound judgement and decision making skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Customer Centric: Ability to interact with and put customer’s needs and customer’s experience at the forefront of all activities
  • Team Player: Ability to motivate and work well within a matrix, diverse, global and cross-functional team environment
  • Proven experience in preparing tailored presentation material and communicating with executive stakeholders
  • Exceptional verbal and written communications skills
  • Experience in program budgetary/financial responsibilities/management
