Digital Production Operations Engineer (DPOE) is responsible for operational activities related to production performance of a field (or sector). This includes surveillance of wells and hydrocarbon collection infrastructure, optimization engineering (de-bottlenecking, modifications for performance enhancements) and technical input to work programs for proposed modifications / introduction of new technologies. The DPOE will be expected to assess opportunities for digitally enabled innovative solutions to routine and non-routine well & asset production issues. The role will consult with operations’ groups and Petroleum Engineering as needed to support the solutions delivery and with the technology / portfolio teams as needed to support the development of relevant solutions. The DPOE engineer will frequently act as the Schlumberger Digital-Operations-Solutions-Production representative to the customer and participates in promoting new technology and service offerings. The role will be required to work closely with the Project Manager and to liaise with third parties and other Schlumberger business lines to coordinate resources and activities. The role also requires frequent visits to the field. Finally, the DPOE will be expected to have technical oversight responsibilities for multiple projects in the production domain.
