Job Description

Hi, I’m Kaela, the Brand Director, Marketing and Creative here at JENNY BIRD.I started on the Creative team over four years ago, helping shape the visual world of the brand, and recently transitioned into Marketing + Creative where I now lead our brand storytelling and social strategy alongside our CBO Laura Carinci. Still partnering closely with our incredible Creative team every day. It’s been an exciting evolution, and I’ve had the privilege of seeing firsthand how powerful our community is and how deeply our audience connects with our work.

This is a transformative time for JENNY BIRD. We’re a fast-moving, collaborative team driven by creativity, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to delivering a five-star experience across every touchpoint. With an all-woman executive leadership team and a culture rooted in support and shared growth, it’s truly a dynamic environment to build a career in.

The Opportunity:

We are looking for a Digital Production Designer to own the design and production of our email channel, ecommerce assets, and digital collateral. This is a high-volume, high-impact role, email is one of our most important revenue channels, and this person will be the engine that keeps it running at a premium level.

You are a meticulous, fast-moving designer with strong email design experience, comfort in Klaviyo, and the ability to manage a large volume of assets with consistency and care. You thrive on production excellence and take pride in making everything look right down to the pixel.

Responsibilities:

Email Design & Production (Primary)

  • Design and build weekly marketing emails end-to-end: concept, layout, asset sourcing, export, Klaviyo build, QA, and revisions
    • Take direction from the CRM team and utilize your creative eye to blend performance with on-brand creative.
  • Source product imagery and UGC assets; AI-generate supporting visuals as needed
  • Create banners, graphics, and supporting assets for every send
  • Design and build automated email flows in Klaviyo; update and maintain existing flows
  • Perform QA testing across desktop and mobile before every send
  • Maintain and update email campaigns and flows— banners, footers, image swaps, layout adjustments

Wholesale

  • Design and build monthly 'New Around Here' wholesale newsletters
  • Design monthly and quarterly wholesale newsletter creative (layout and graphics, based on copy direction)
  • Format, export, and prepare all wholesale email assets
  • Create elevated line sheets, trade invitations, postcards, and QR code materials
  • Prepare retailer asset packages for partners including Revolve and Nordstrom — resized and formatted to spec
  • Design wholesale presentations for seasonal and trade moments
  • Design banner assets for any wholesale marketing buys

Ecommerce & Retouching

  • Crop and format imagery for PDPs across all product pages
  • Maintain consistent image standards across the ecommerce site
  • Receive retouching briefs and coordinate with external retouchers
  • Review retouched files, manage revision feedback, and ensure final assets meet brand standards and are not overly retouched
  • Adjust image colours as needed (gold to silver conversions, etc.)
  • AI-generate supporting imagery where needed across digital channels

Asset Management & Distribution

  • Organize and label new photography assets in internal folder systems
  • Maintain DAM (digital asset management)
  • Fulfill asset requests from internal teams — PR, HR, social, packaging, archived assets
  • Export and resize logos, product images, and brand assets for various uses and partner specs

Paid Static Ad Creative

  • Design and export static ad creative across Meta, Google Display, and Pinterest from briefs provided by the ads team — multiple formats, sizes, and variations per brief
  • Deliver clean, brand-elevated executions that are built to perform: strong product focus, clear hierarchy, and formatted to every platform's technical specs

What you bring to the table:

  • 3 years of experience in digital design, email design, or production design within a consumer brand or agency
  • Strong experience designing and building emails in Klaviyo or a comparable ESP
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator (required); InDesign an asset
  • Meticulous attention to detail — you catch errors others miss
  • Ability to manage a high volume of projects simultaneously and hit deadlines without compromising quality
  • Comfortable working with AI image generation tools
  • Experience with asset management and maintaining organized file systems
  • A strong eye for on-brand design, even within a templated/production context
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada

What makes you stand out:

  • Experience at a DTC ecommerce brand — you understand how email drives revenue
  • You work fast and clean — your files are organized, your exports are right the first time
  • You understand the nuance of jewelry or fashion photography and what makes an asset feel elevated

Team Member Expectations:

We are looking for a compassionate and reliable individual who will lead with empathy, inspire their teammates with a strong work ethic, and support the growth of their peers through establishing relationships built on trust and respect.

As a brand, we have seen incredible growth and success through our team’s proactiveness, curiosity, and desire to learn while building. We look for team members who embody these traits and have the confidence and comfortability to collaborate laterally, communicate ideas effectively, and support the company’s goals.
