The Digital Product Owner acts as the “voice of the customer” within an Agile development team, responsible for defining, prioritizing, and managing the product backlog to deliver high-quality software solutions. This role ensures that product features align with business objectives, meet user needs, and are delivered efficiently and effectively.
The Product Owner collaborates closely with product managers, engineering teams, and stakeholders to translate strategy into actionable requirements, driving the successful execution of the product roadmap and continuous improvement of the customer experience. The incumbent contributes to a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and innovation within their team, helping the organization towards achieving its strategic business objectives.

This position will require 5% travel.
This role is not remote/hybrid. This role will report to Sherwin-Williams Global Headquarters located at 1 Sherwin Way, Cleveland, OH 44113.

Backlog & Value Management
Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring it is prioritized based on business value, customer needs, and strategic objectives
Define and clearly articulate user stories, acceptance criteria, and feature requirements
Continuously refine and prioritize backlog items to maximize value delivered by the development team
Balance short-term delivery goals with long-term product vision
Delivery & Execution
Work closely with the Scrum team to ensure clarity, feasibility, and readiness of work items
Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
Ensure features meet defined acceptance criteria and quality standards prior to release
Monitor progress, identify risks or blockers, and support timely resolution
Coordinate releases, including defining scope and timelines
Customer & Stakeholder Alignment
Represent customer and end-user needs throughout the development lifecycle
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, validate assumptions, and align on priorities
Communicate product goals, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders and leadership
Incorporate customer feedback, market insights, and data into product decisions
Continuous Improvement & Performance
Track and assess product performance using defined metrics and user feedback
Drive continuous improvement in product quality, delivery processes, and team efficiency
Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in product management
Foster a collaborative, innovative, and customer-focused team culture
Change Management & Adoption
Partner with stakeholders to support adoption
Support product adoption through clear communication, training, and documentation
Gather and incorporate feedback from users and stakeholders to refine the product
Ensure alignment between product changes and business processes
Promote effective change adoption across impacted teams

Incidental Functions:
Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously amid ambiguity and proactively forge partnerships across marketing teams, sales teams, IT, and other partners to drive results, efficiency, and scalability across the organization.
Minimum Requirements:
Preferred Qualifications:
• Have certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar Agile certification
• Have at least three (3) years of experience in product ownership or product management roles
• Have experience working on digital platforms, SaaS products, or customer-facing applications
• Have strong analytical skills with experience using data and metrics to inform product decisions
• Have familiarity with product management and backlog tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence)
• Have experience with user research, UX principles, and customer journey mapping
• Have exposure to modern technologies (e.g., APIs, cloud platforms, AI/ML-enabled features)
• Have experience operating in large, complex, or global organizations with multiple stakeholders and dependencies
