Job Description

7-Eleven is an iconic family of brands with over 86,000 locations, surpassing every retailer in the world. We revolutionize convenience, restaurants and fuel through cutting edge innovation — working hard to be the customer's first choice. 7-Eleven empowers our employees to "activate awesome" and make a meaningful impact in their stores and communities every day. If you're ready to grow, lead and make a difference, come join our team and help shape the future of convenience.

The Merch Enterprise Portfolio at 7‑Eleven powers the systems that drive how products are priced, promoted, and executed across stores, digital channels, and partner ecosystems. This includes highly integrated capabilities spanning pricing, promotions, item and assortment management, and retail execution workflows. This portfolio is critical to enabling scalable, data-driven merchandising strategies that drive sales, improve margin, and deliver a seamless customer experience across channels.

While experience with promotion systems is highly valued, we are seeking a Product Manager III who can operate across this ecosystem, bringing strong product leadership, systems thinking, and execution rigor to elevate platform capabilities and drive impact across multiple domains.

The Promotion Systems Product Team at 7‑Eleven is responsible for powering a highly complex enterprise promotion platform that enables pricing, offers, discounts, and promotional execution across stores, digital channels, and third-party ecosystems. This platform plays a critical role in driving sales, improving customer engagement, and enabling scalable promotion strategies across the business. This role is critical to unlocking scalable, high-impact promotion capabilities at 7‑Eleven.

As a Product Manager III, you will lead complex, cross-cutting product initiatives across the Merch Enterprise portfolio. You will operate at the intersection of pricing, promotions, merchandising operations, and enterprise systems driving strategy, shaping roadmaps, and delivering scalable solutions in a highly integrated environment.

This role is designed for an individual contributor who can:

  • Identify and solve platform-level problems (not just feature-level work)
  • Drive alignment across multiple product domains and stakeholder groups
  • Elevate product thinking, operating rigor, and outcomes across the portfolio

You will partner closely with engineering, architecture, merchandising, pricing, marketing, and store operations teams to deliver durable, high-impact promotion system solutions. This role requires strong ownership, technical depth, and the ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-moving enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Ownership

  • Define and execute product vision, strategy, and roadmap for core capabilities aligned to business objectives
  • Own end-to-end product lifecycle from concept through launch and continuous optimization
  • Identify opportunities to improve promotional effectiveness, scalability, and operational efficiency through platform enhancements

Roadmap & Execution Excellence

  • Own and execute against high-impact roadmap areas that may span multiple systems or domains
  • Bring structure and clarity to ambiguous problem spaces; define outcomes, success metrics, and delivery plans
  • Lead backlog prioritization and execution, ensuring alignment to business value and technical feasibility
  • Raise the bar on product rigor (clear requirements, measurable outcomes, disciplined prioritization)

Enterprise Platform & Technical Complexity

  • Work within a highly integrated enterprise ecosystem, including pricing systems, POS, digital channels, and third-party partners
  • Partner with engineering on system design considerations, APIs, and integration strategies
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable requirements
  • Simplify and rationalize workflows across systems to improve usability and operational efficiency

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across merchandising, pricing, operations, marketing, and digital teams to ensure alignment and adoption
  • Influence decisions across teams and drive alignment on priorities and trade-offs
  • Act as a subject matter expert for the promotion system platform

Customer & Business Impact

  • Engage with internal users and stakeholders to understand needs, pain points, and opportunities
  • Leverage data, customer insights, and competitive analysis to inform product decisions and drive innovation
  • Partner with UX to ensure intuitive, scalable user experiences

Data-Driven Outcomes & Optimization

  • Define and monitor KPIs related to promotion performance, adoption, and system health
  • Use data-driven insights to continuously optimize product features and workflows
  • Drive measurable business outcomes such as improved promotion execution, reduced errors, and increased sales impact

Qualifications

Required

  • 5–7+ years of product management experience, with a focus on enterprise or platform-based software solutions
  • Strong experience managing complex, integrated systems (e.g., promotion engines, pricing systems, or enterprise retail platforms)
  • Proven ability to deliver products end-to-end in Agile environments
  • Deep understanding of backlog management, prioritization, and roadmap planning

Technical & Analytical Skills

  • Strong technical acumen with experience in APIs, integrations, and distributed systems
  • Ability to interpret data, define KPIs, and make data-driven product decisions
  • Experience simplifying complex systems into scalable product solutions

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills; ability to influence at all levels
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct authority
  • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities

About 7-Eleven

7-Eleven introduced the world to convenience. And in return, the world made us the #1 convenience retailer. It started with a simple idea – give customers what they want, when and where they want it. That was 1927. And what started on a single ice dock in Dallas, Texas, has since grown to more than 70,000 locations in 18 countries around the globe. The idea may have been simple, but it started a retail revolution.
