Job Description

We are looking for someone with a purchasing/supply chain background and an interest in technology and innovation. The Catalog Management and Tech Innovation Analyst is responsible for the overall governance and end-to-end lifecycle of supplier catalogs within the SAP Ariba environment. This role ensures system integrity, data accuracy, and seamless technical connectivity between Ford, its suppliers, and the SAP Business Network. You will act as a critical link between IT, Supply Chain, and external vendors to optimize the user purchasing experience and ensure procurement compliance. This role also innovates on processes and tools for indirect procurement.

Location: This role is based in Mexico City, hybrid mode, as part of Supply Chain Transformation, Indirect organization

Catalog Governance & System Maintenance

  • Maintain the SAP Ariba Catalog Module, managing master data and business entity restrictions to ensure a streamlined procurement process.
  • Oversee Change Management by maintaining technical documentation on SharePoint and updating Quick Reference Guides (QRGs).
  • Provide internal training on new Ariba features and system enhancements.
  • Enforce compliance with Ford and Ariba standards, including rigorous adherence to UNSPSC mapping, Unit of Measure (UoM) lists, and currency formatting.

    Technology Innovation

  • Support the continues improvement of SAP solutions as customer expert to communicate any paint point challenges or improvements to continue improving the operational excellence and buyer experience
  • Stay abreast of trends in AI analytics and integrate these insights into current and future supply chain projects by working collaboratively with the Indirect Systems team

Data Management & Quality Assurance

  • Perform data cleansing and enrichment to ensure catalog keywords and descriptions are optimized for internal searchability and user experience
  • Act as the final validator for the end-user interface, ensuring all catalog content is functional, accurate, and visually consistent.
  • Manage the full content lifecycle, including version control and the strategic activation or deactivation of supplier content.

Supplier Liaison & Technical Enablement

  • Serve as the lead coordinator between suppliers, SAP Ariba, Ford IT, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Lead supplier onboarding on the SAP Business Network, establishing and managing ANIDs across both QA and Production environments.
  • Provide technical guidance to suppliers regarding CIF/cXML connectivity, PunchOut credentials, and ERP integrations.

Tactical Execution & Launch Management

  • Manage the "Pre-Launch" phase by reviewing catalog requests, maintaining project trackers, and leading weekly stakeholder meetings.
  • Oversee QA Testing: Load catalogs into the test environment, troubleshoot technical errors with suppliers, and perform end-to-end testing from Requisition to Invoice/Credit Memo.
  • Lead Production Deployment: Coordinate "Catalog Approver" routing for buyers, activate catalogs in the P2P system, and manage launch communications to business customers.
  • Bachelor's degree in business Intelligence or Data Science or related
  • 4+ years of supply chain management experience, e.g., purchasing/procurement, material planning.
  • Strong business acumen and project management skills to be effective at driving transformations and change management.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead weekly stakeholder meetings.
  • Strong communication skills for coordinating between technical (IT) and non-technical (Suppliers/Business) teams.
  • Analytical mindset with high attention to detail regarding data integrity.
