Your role and responsibilities

Suffolk County Council is seeking a Digital Practice Lead to help drive our ambition to build a digitally empowered workforce. This role is central to developing and embedding digital opportunities and technologies into the wider care market, enabling care providers to work more efficiently and effectively in the delivery of care provision.

As Digital Practice Lead, you will:

  • Identify and develop digital opportunities across Adult Social Care (ASC).
  • Work collaboratively with operational teams, contracts teams and stakeholders to co-produce digital approaches to support care providers.
  • Support the prevention agenda through digital care technologies and information platforms.
  • Be the main driver in delivering digital change in the care market.
  • Contribute to integration efforts and lead innovation trials with care providers
  • Deliver co-production workshops with stakeholders to build stronger relationships with the people we support.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has expert knowledge of our Digital Care Partnership.
  • Has strong practice expertise and experience in social care.
  • Is passionate about digital transformation and its potential to improve lives.
  • Can adapt to change and thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Excels at building and managing relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Has experience or interest in innovation, integration, and digital project delivery.
  • Existing contacts in care, health, and technology sectors are highly desirable.

The team

You will work across multiple teams including operational and strategic teams and management in your area, as well as aligning to the Digital Care team and Cassius delivery. You will work and report into key stakeholders for digital and transformation programmes and portfolios including (but not limited to) People First, Digital Care, Working Digitally, Independent Lives, Care Market Shaping, and the Social Care Reform Practice group. Working closely with colleagues in other teams including Social Work, IT, procurement, legal, and many others, you will work to develop and deliver our ambitions around better digitally led and capable social work practice.
