Job Description

Hej Digital Platform Leader for Agentic Retail

Inter IKEA Group connects IKEA franchisees with range development and suppliers and ensures alignment of the overall IKEA strategic direction. Every day, we strive to develop, produce, and sell products and services that are affordable and accessible to everyone.

This role is positioned in Retail Concept Operations. You will belong to the Retail Digital Operations team, reporting to the Platform Area Manager.

In Retail Concept Operations, as part of Retail Concept, we protect, develop, and enable the IKEA Concept across markets and franchisees. We turn the "what" of the IKEA Concept into the "how" of everyday retail operations, making it easy to use, scale, and trust across the value chain.

We take pride in working in progressive ways of working, with empowered teams and strong digital competence. We focus on simple, practical solutions that strengthen both short- and long-term low cost, while supporting consistency and quality in how the IKEA Concept comes to life.

Together, we build ways of working where teams take ownership, collaborate closely, and continuously improve, so we can create meaningful value for IKEA, our franchisees, co-workers, and the many people.

Our team enables digital platforms that support the IKEA Concept across markets and franchisees, making it easier for products, services and teams to work together in a secure, scalable and reliable way. Together, we continuously improve developer experience and platform capabilities to create value across the IKEA value chain.

Our team is based in Malmö. We believe that your presence with the team and working the majority of the time in the workplace is important.

About the role

You will shape the platform that enables the next generation of agentic retail operations across IKEA and our franchisees. Combining strategic thinking with hands-on leadership, you will define its vision and roadmap, align with internal enabling functions and advance capabilities in the Microsoft ecosystem, including Copilot Studio, Microsoft Foundry and Agent 365. A central challenge is enabling agents to work together across our internal and retail tenants and retailers' separate tenants, with clear security and data boundaries. Working closely with developers, product teams, architects and suppliers, you will turn emerging opportunities into practical platform capabilities while ensuring operational excellence and continuous improvement. This is an exciting opportunity for a co-worker with experience in digital product, platform or technology development to take the next step in platform leadership and support IKEA's digital transformation journey.

You will lead a team that combines platform engineering with hands-on support to the business. Two Forward Deployed Engineers work directly inside the product teams in the capability area Retail Commercial and Customer, helping them find valuable use cases, build their first agents and move from experiment to production. Your job is to make that support repeatable: turn what the engineers learn into reusable capabilities, patterns and platform improvements, and align these with internal enabling functions so teams can adopt them consistently. By connecting practical retail needs with shared platform capabilities, you will help our work create lasting value in homes and hearts across the world.

On a typical working day, you will:

  • Define and communicate the platform vision, roadmap and priorities to stakeholders and platform users.
  • Lead backlog management, release planning and prioritisation to ensure the platform delivers value to developers and digital products.
  • Collaborate with product teams, architects, suppliers and developers to remove dependencies, solve challenges and continuously improve platform capabilities.

What we'd like you to bring to the table

The role as a Digital Platform Leader requires you to:

  • Have experience in digital product, platform or software development, ideally within agile or DevOps environments, and be able to turn emerging AI and agent capabilities into reusable solutions that teams can take from experimentation to production.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of developer needs and software engineering practices.
  • Lead through collaboration, creating alignment across teams, stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Make informed decisions using both qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and business audiences and translate complexity into simple, actionable outcomes.
  • Drive continuous improvement and deliver results in a fast-moving digital environment.
  • Be fluent in spoken and written English.

It's a plus if you also:

  • Have experience building or managing internal platforms, developer platforms or shared technology capabilities.
  • Have experience with platform performance measurement, operational excellence and service management.
  • Bring knowledge of modern technology landscapes, cloud platforms or digital ecosystem development.

We welcome your application

We look forward to receiving your application by the 20th October 2026 at the latest. We encourage you to apply as soon as possible.
