Your new role
As a Digital Opinion Leader (DOL) – Medical Science Liaison, you'll pioneer a new frontier in medical affairs by combining rigorous scientific expertise with digital media strategy. You'll be the vital link between Novo Nordisk and Thailand's medical community, translating breakthrough research into meaningful dialogue with healthcare professionals through both traditional engagement and innovative digital channels.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Building strategic scientific relationships with Digital Opinion Leaders (DOLs) and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), creating trusted partnerships that enable two-way exchange of insights and scientific information
- Implementing social media scientific communication plans that deliver balanced, ethical, and accurate medical information tailored to digital healthcare audiences
- Coordinating continuing medical education workshops, seminars, and programmes that advance clinical practice in diabetes, obesity, and other serious chronic diseases
- Capturing and analyzing insights from DOLs and their digital channels to inform internal strategy and identify strategic partnership opportunities
- Collaborating with professional associations on a national level to enhance social media communications and build relationships within Thailand's medical community
- Monitoring communication trends and key publications in therapeutic areas, ensuring timely internalization of relevant scientific developments
- Documenting interactions and medical insights with precision, proposing data-driven actions that optimize scientific impact across your territory
Your new department
Novo Nordisk has been working closely with stakeholders in Thailand for more than 40 years. Our Medical Affairs team plays a critical role in defeating diabetes, obesity, and other serious chronic diseases by bridging scientific evidence with clinical practice. This position reports directly to the Senior Manager, MSL & DOL, and sits at the heart of how we bring innovation to the Thai healthcare community with integrity and scientific rigor. You'll work at the intersection of traditional medical science liaison activities and cutting-edge digital engagement, helping shape how medical information reaches and resonates with healthcare professionals in an increasingly digital world.
Your skills & qualifications
We're looking for a scientifically rigorous professional who understands both the precision required in medical affairs and the dynamic nature of digital communication. You'll bring with you:
- Degree in life sciences, pharmacy, or a related field
- 2-5 years of experience in medical affairs or a related field, with proven expertise in engaging healthcare professionals and professional associations
- Scientific communication expertise – the ability to translate complex medical and scientific information into clear, compelling content for diverse healthcare audiences
- Experience in social media engagement as a healthcare professional and/or digital/social media marketing (highly valued)
- Strategic relationship-building skills with the ability to establish trusted partnerships with thought leaders, teaching-hospital faculty, and professional associations
- Strong data interpretation capabilities and a "test and learn" mindset, using analytics to refine approaches and demonstrate impact
- Regulatory and compliance awareness, ensuring all activities adhere to Thai FDA standards and ethical guidelines
- Adaptability and autonomy – you're comfortable working independently with over 50% travel across your territory, while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
