Position Summary
Holton-Arms seeks a Digital Media Specialist to join the School’s marketing and communications team. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and supportive environment.
Primary responsibilities include website management, digital platform oversight, data analytics, digital advertising, and market research analysis. The Digital Media Specialist will execute tactics that support Holton’s broader marketing and communications strategy, with a focus on digital performance, audience engagement, and data-informed decision-making.
The ideal candidate will be well-versed in website content management systems, digital advertising platforms, and analytics tools; possess strong analytical and research skills; and bring a strategic mindset to digital communications. This role works closely with the Director of Marketing and Communications and collaborates across the marketing and communications team to ensure the digital presence reflects the school’s mission, brand, and strategic priorities. They will also work in close partnership with the IT department to ensure all website platforms, integrations, tracking technologies, and third-party tools meet school standards for security, data privacy, accessibility, and system performance.
Responsibilities
- Website Management: Oversee the school's website, including day-to-day content updates, ongoing optimization, and website redesigns, ensuring the site reflects current brand standards, supports enrollment goals, and delivers an exceptional user experience for all audiences.
- - Maintain and update website content across all pages to ensure accuracy, consistency, and brand alignment
- - Collaborate with the marketing and communications team and design partners on site redesigns, additional pages, and website improvements
- - Monitor site performance and recommend enhancements based on user behavior and analytics
- Digital Platform Management: Manage and optimize the school's digital platform ecosystem, including but not limited to Niche, Finding Schools, Google Profile, SurveyMonkey, and YouTube, ensuring each channel is current, strategically aligned, and leveraged effectively to support communications and enrollment objectives.
- - Maintain accurate and compelling school profiles across third-party platforms
- Analytics & Performance Reporting: Track and analyze key performance metrics across all digital channels — including website traffic via GA4, email open rates, social media engagement, and ad performance — translating data into actionable insights.
- - Build and maintain dashboards and regular reporting cadences for key digital metrics
- - Identify trends and make data-driven recommendations to optimize digital strategy
- Digital Advertising & Inbound Marketing: Manage paid digital advertising campaigns and oversee the technical execution of inbound marketing strategies, including campaign setup, audience targeting, performance monitoring, and optimization across platforms.
- - Execute and optimize paid campaigns across Google, Meta, and other relevant platforms
- - Support the technical setup and tracking of inbound marketing campaigns
- Market Research & Data Tracking: Conduct and synthesize market research to inform strategic decisions, tracking demographic trends, competitive positioning, and key performance indicators to keep the school's marketing efforts relevant and targeted.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Digital Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven professional experience in web management and digital strategy, preferably with experience in education.
- Understanding of CMS platforms, such as Finalsite and Student Information Systems, such as Veracross.
- Current knowledge of and ability to advise on digital marketing strategies, technologies, and tactics.
- Strong knowledge of digital marketing and Google Analytics.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Graphic design experience a plus

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $85,000 based on educational background and professional experience.
