Digital Media Specialist

The Digital Media Specialist is a creative powerhouse and strategic storyteller, shaping Pfluger’s online presence to inspire, engage, and connect with key audiences. This role drives the firm’s digital strategy by managing its website, social media platforms, and digital advertising, ensuring every touchpoint reflects the firm’s innovation, expertise, and impact. With a keen eye for design and a passion for visual storytelling, this individual also supports graphic design initiatives and video production, bringing the firm’s work and culture to life in compelling ways. As a collaborative force, the Digital Media Specialist plays a pivotal role in strengthening brand visibility, fostering engagement, and positioning Pfluger as a thought leader in the industry.
Role & Responsibilities:
Website & Digital Content Management
- Maintain and update the firm’s website (WordPress) to reflect the latest projects, news, insights, and employees.
- Plan digital marketing campaigns, integrating social media, video, and web content for cohesive brand storytelling.
- Create and maintain a content calendar, ensuring consistent, engaging, and brand-aligned messages across digital platforms.
- Oversee social publishing in Hootsuite, including employee advocacy initiatives (e.g., Hootsuite Amplify) and ghostwriting content for leadership.
- Optimize digital content based on analytics insights, refining strategies to enhance audience engagement and brand visibility.
Social Media & Digital Engagement
- Develop and execute engaging content across social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook), aligning with the firm’s brand and marketing strategy.
- Utilize AI-driven content tools and automation to enhance content development, scheduling, and engagement.
- Track digital engagement KPIs, including website traffic, social media performance, and digital campaign effectiveness.
- Manage digital advertising efforts, including Google Ads and paid social campaigns, ensuring alignment with marketing goals and business development strategies.
- Branding and graphic design experience across digital media platforms.
Public Relations & Media Collaboration
- Lead the creation and distribution of press releases and media communications to enhance the firm’s public presence..
- Collaborate with other marketing team members and technical staff to gather project and studio updates for use in media and social initiatives, ensuring alignment with firm-wide branding efforts.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of award applications.
Visual Storytelling & Content Creation
- Support internal communication efforts, promoting firm culture and driving employee engagement through digital channels and employee communication campaigns.
- Participate in site visits, pin-ups, and office activities to photograph and document projects and firm culture.
- Capture and edit video content, including interviews, project features, and firm culture storytelling.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for external videography partners, identifying video opportunities and supporting script development. Coordinate filming logistics by developing story angles and collaborating with project teams and clients to schedule and facilitate shoots.
- Provide graphic design support for marketing materials, presentations, and digital content.
- Support speaking engagements and conference initiatives, including developing presentation materials, session proposals, and related content.
- Provide design support for print materials, including invitations, advertisements, portfolios, and construction banners.
- Maintain brand consistency across marketing materials and digital content, ensuring alignment with the firm’s messaging.
- Collaborate with the business development team to identify opportunities where marketing can support pursuits and enhance client engagement.
Experience & Qualifications:

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Familiarity with social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook) and content management systems.
- Knowledge of Google Ads, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Google Businesses is required.
- Familiarity with WordPress is highly preferred, but not required.
- Previous experience with Monday.com is a plus.
- A proactive and creative mindset with a passion for storytelling and digital engagement.
- Graphic design experience and advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere) and Microsoft Office products is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Digital Media, Marketing, or Communications is preferred.
- Link to portfolio showcasing previous work is required.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience is required.
Location:
The Digital Media Specialist must be prepared to commute 3 days per week to Pfluger’s local office and as required to Pfluger’s other offices. This position will require limited travel. The position can base out of any of the firm’s five offices (Austin, Dallas, Corpus, Houston, or San Antonio).
