Job Description

ROLE PURPOSE:

The Digital Media Coordinator (DMC) is primarily responsible for strengthening the public profile of Save the Children Philippines (SCP) across digital platforms to reach, influence, and engage target audiences to support the organization and its causes for and with children.

To achieve this, the DMC’s set of responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 1) Developing and implementing digital media plans and strategies, 2) manage SCP’s website and social media accounts, 3) create and/or lead the development of quality and engaging content, 4) monitor, analyze, and report performance matrix e.g. share of voice, brand reputation, social media advertising, search engine optimization (SEO), etc., 5) foster responsible and on brand digital conversations and interactions, 6) manage related resources and budget deliverables, and 7) other tasks as deemed required by the Management.

This role involves significant cross-departmental collaborations at the local, regional, and international levels, as well as with concerned partners and stakeholders, including children, as applicable. The position holder may also be deployed to fieldwork, impact areas, emergency response (first phase of rapid-onset or slow-onset disasters), and potential international assignments, as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • A graduate of AB/BA Communications, Journalism, Multimedia Arts, Marketing Communications/ Advertising, Broadcasting, Development Communications, Broadcasting, or any related course
  • At least four (4) years of experience in a related field with proven track record of expertise
  • Has strong written and verbal command on English and Filipino
  • Knowledgeable on digital marketing/ trends, communications, and media landscape
  • Computer and internet literate with deep understanding and comprehensive expertise in the use and management of digital platforms/ channels such as website and social media
  • Knowledgeable in the use of graphic design software, video editing software, content planning and collaboration tools
  • Experience with advertising platforms e.g. Facebook Ads, SEO, etc.
  • Knowledgeable and deep understanding on social media analytics tools
  • Ability to interpret data, draw insights, provide technical expertise, and prepare monitoring/ evaluation reports
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrates strategic leadership, proactiveness, flexibility, and a team player
  • High level of creativity and attention to detail
  • Able to manage time and resources, highly organized, meets tight deadlines, and works with minimal to no supervision in an ever-changing and evolving landscape
  • Politically and culturally sensitive, with qualities of patience, tact,and diplomacy
  • Experience working in a development/ humanitarian context/organization
  • Good understanding of children’s rights and child safeguarding
  • Willing to travel or be sent to areas of work.
