The Opportunity:
Washington State University (WSU) Voiland College of Engineering and Architecture (VCEA) is recruiting for a Digital Marketing Specialist. In this roleyou will advance VCEA's visibility, reputation, and engagement goals through strategic social media leadership and compelling multimedia storytelling. You will also manage the College’s digital platforms, produces high-quality photo and video content, and collaborates with leadership to amplify faculty research, student success, and institutional impact across diverse audiences. You will bring creativity together with strong editorial judgment and a data‑driven mindset, using digital analytics to guide decisions and enhance content performance.
Additional Information:
This is a full-time (100% FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.
Monthly Salary: $4,508.70 - $6,763.06 | Commensurate with experience and qualifications
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, marketing or other relevant fieldANDeither two (2) years of professional experience in print OR broadcast news media, public relations, marketing including the use of electronic media or two (2) years of other relevant professional experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Demonstrated experience producing photography and video content.
Strong writing and editing skills tailored to digital audiences.
Proficiency using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, platform insights).
Effective project and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in higher education or research communications.
Familiarity with technical or STEM subject matter.
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator).
Experience with paid social media advertising.
Knowledge of CRM and marketing automation platforms
