About the Role

As a Digital Manufacturing Project Coordinator, you will support the planning, administration and execution of Smart Factory and digital manufacturing projects. Your role will help ensure that projects are properly structured, documented, financially tracked and followed through from initiation to execution.

Your Impact

Working closely with Smart Factory engineers, project owners, Finance, Supply Chain, IT and external suppliers, you will provide the project coordination and control needed to keep multiple initiatives moving effectively. This will allow technical teams to focus on engineering and implementation while maintaining clear visibility of budgets, commitments, resources, documentation and project progress.

• Coordinate planning and follow-up activities for Smart Factory, automation and digital manufacturing projects, maintaining project plans, milestones, actions, risks and supporting documentation.
• Support project owners and engineers in developing project proposals and business cases, including assumptions, cost estimates, approval documentation and investment records.
• Track project budgets, commitments, actual expenditure and forecasts, supporting CAPEX and OPEX planning and regular financial updates.
• Coordinate procurement activities, including requests for quotation, vendor documentation, purchase requisitions, purchase orders, deliveries and invoice follow-up in collaboration with Supply Chain and project owners.
• Maintain structured records of quotations, approvals, orders, supplier commitments and other commercial project documentation.
• Coordinate resource and capacity planning across Smart Factory initiatives, including internal resource requirements, project hours and external consultant commitments.
• Maintain project and portfolio information to provide clear visibility of progress, resources, costs, risks and key actions.
• Prepare inputs for monthly project and program reporting, governance reviews and Steering Committee materials.
• Take ownership of coordination activities for selected smaller Smart Factory or automation initiatives as experience develops.
• Improve project templates, documentation standards and administrative processes to strengthen consistent project governance across Smart Factory activities.

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Digital Business, Engineering Management, or a related field, or a comparable background relevant to the role.
• Relevant experience in project coordination, PMO, project administration, engineering projects, manufacturing, digital transformation or a comparable environment.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to structure information, maintain accurate documentation and consistently follow actions through to completion.
• Confidence working with budgets, forecasts, spreadsheets and numerical information.
• Ability to coordinate several parallel activities and work effectively with stakeholders across different functions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, IT and external suppliers.
• Interest in digital manufacturing, Smart Factory, Industry 4.0, automation or industrial digital transformation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven relevant experience in project coordination, PMO, project administration, engineering projects or digital transformation.
• Experience supporting project budgeting, CAPEX/OPEX tracking, forecasting or business-case preparation.
• Exposure to procurement processes, vendor coordination, purchase requisitions or purchase orders.
• Experience with ERP or procurement systems and project-management tools such as Primavera, Jira, or similar platforms.
• Previous exposure to manufacturing, engineering, automation or technology-driven project environments.
