Description

Job Purpose:To lead the development, enhancement, and governance of credit policies for the digital lending and financial inclusion segments, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and the bank’s strategic objectives.Job Description:1.Develop, review, and oversee the implementation of adaptive digital lending policies to align with market trends and support the bank's growth plans and risk appetite.2.Establish robust and innovative policy frameworks for assessing risks and ensuring the resilience of digital and financial inclusion portfolios while working closely with the Business partners to achieve profitability indicators consistent with strategic goals.3.Contribute to a digital and financial inclusion strategy, leveraging market trends to enhance CIB's market share, and support the development of strategies to improve customer lifetime value through cross-selling, upselling, and product optimization.4.Align credit policies with the bank’s strategic goals, focusing on expanding market share, improving portfolio quality, and driving sustainable profitability, and collaborate with product teams to ensure policies are flexible and support digital transformation initiatives.5.Partner with portfolio monitoring teams to evaluate the impact of policies on performance metrics, including risk, profitability, and customer outcomes.6.Lead initiatives to balance business growth with credit risk management through evidence-based policy adjustments.7.Innovate lending programs using advanced modelling and alternative data sources to improve risk assessment and cater to underserved populations.8.Conduct comprehensive analyses of credit risks, profitability analysis, and risk-adjusted revenue to evaluate policy effectiveness and balance growth with risk management.9.Lead initiatives to enhance the customer journey within digital lending processes, ensuring a seamless, user-friendly experience from application to approval.10.Manage the launch of new digital lending products and programs, conducting market research and pilot tests to ensure alignment with customer needs and financial inclusion objectives.11.Identify targeted lending segments based on market analysis, demographic insights, and financial behaviors to enhance the effectiveness of product offerings for diverse customer types.12.Collaborate with the Fraud experts to develop sophisticated digital fraud monitoring mechanisms that leverage real-time analytics to identify and address potential fraud risks proactively, with a focus on protecting vulnerable customers.Policies, Processes and Procedures13.Follow all relevant department policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.Day-to-day management14.Follow the day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work.Compliance15.Comply with all relevant CBE regulations, banking laws, AML regulations and internal CIB policies and code of conduct in order to maintain CIB’s sound legal position and mitigate any potential risks.

Qualifications

-QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLSQualifications & Experience· Bachelor’s degree of Commerce, Business Administration, Accounting or equivalent. · Minimum 6 to 7 years relevant experience.Skills· Analytical and influencing skills.· Risk Management expertise.· Data Driven decision making expertise.

Commercial International Bank was established in 1975 as a joint venture between the National Bank of Egypt (NBE, 51%) and the Chase Manhattan Bank (49%) under the name "Chase National Bank of Egypt”. Following Chase's decision to divest its equity stake in 1987, NBE increased its shareholding to 99.9%, changing the Bank’s name to Commercial International Bank (Egypt) S.A.E. In May 2014, Actis, successfully realised its investment in CIB and sold its remaining 6.5% to Subsidiaries wholly owned by Fairfax Financial Holdings Ltd “Fairfax”.
