SALARY RANGE: $62,000 to $70,000 annual

The Digital Dental Laboratory Manager for the Kornberg School of Dentistry will be responsible for working with Dental Faculty, residents, and students in creating various customized digital milled prostheses based on the individual patient. This will primarily be for our clinic in Tamaqua, PA, but will also work with our clinics in Philadelphia as well. Primary responsibilities will include CAD/CAM design and scanning, preparation of casts, checking digital impressions, advising faculty, designing crowns and other prostheses, nesting, milling, staining and glazing, and finishing. In addition, the Dental Laboratory Manager will also be responsible for working faculty to help demonstrate to dental students CAD/CAM techniques, providing administrative support for the lab, ordering and maintain inventory of CAD/CAM materials and working with the department Chair to identify new and more efficient materials to be used, designing and 3D printing of surgical guides, maintaining (set up, cleaning, basic repairs) of lab equipment as well as allocating the digital scanners to users, and entering and verifying work orders and digital scans being sent to our outside laboratory. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor is Degree in a field with heavy CAD/CAM applications and at least 4 year of directly CAD/CAM experience. Training will be provided for design and fabrication of dental prosthesis through digital methods.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Dental degree from a US or foreign dental school or a degree in a dental specific field and previous experience working in a digital dental lab.

*Must be able to travel between our clinical locations in Philadelphia and Tamaqua as needed.
*Ability to work with various CAD/CAM technologies and other lab equipment.
*Must possess good hand-eye coordination with the ability to work with small instruments.

Essential duties:
*Working with dental faculty to review and check digital impressions, design, mill, stain and glaze prostheses.
*Designing CAD/CAM crowns, bridges, nightguards and surgical guides.
*Management of flow of operations and administration support for lab services. Oversee the assigning of digital equipment to students.
*Maintenance of printers, milling unit and other digital lab equipment.
*Working alongside faculty, lectures/demonstrates to students CAD/CAM techniques in advanced restorative courses.
*Continue to keep up to date with new techniques in the field and provide input to faculty and administration on new technology, equipment or processes that may be helpful to the Dental School as well as improvements that can be made to current facilities, equipment, and procedures.
*Ordering and maintain inventory of CAD/CAM materials, working with the department Chair to identify new, more efficient materials to be used.
