Job Description
The Digital Imaging & Mail Center Student Assistant supports the daily operations of Keuka College’s mailroom and digital imaging services. This hands-on position involves processing incoming and outgoing mail and packages, completing digital print jobs, and supporting the efficient delivery of materials across campus. This is a great opportunity to develop workplace skills in organization, customer service, logistics, and printing technology.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Sort and process incoming first-class mail and packages.
- Process and prepare outgoing mail using various services (e.g., USPS, UPS, FedEx, Certified Mail).
- Assist with the preparation of copy and digital imaging jobs.
- Deliver packages and print materials across campus as needed.
- Learn and operate equipment used for mail processing and digital copying.
- Maintain an organized and efficient workflow, meeting quality and performance standards.
- Provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, and staff.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with coworkers and supervisors.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with FERPA and institutional guidelines.
- Attend required trainings and meetings.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor
Physical & Scheduling Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
- Must be able to stand, bend, and move packages throughout the shift.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled Keuka College student in the on-campus traditional undergraduate program.
- Eligible for Federal Work Study or Keuka College Work Study.
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and accountability.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of integrity and discretion.
- Ability to handle interruptions and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to work respectfully with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
