Digital Engineer

What is your role?

As a Digital Engineer, you will support Manufacturing 4.0 and digital transformation initiatives by working closely with manufacturing, operations, engineering, IT, and data teams. You will help understand business and shop-floor challenges, translate them into practical digital solutions, and support their implementation and adoption across manufacturing environments. This is a plant-facing, hybrid role based in Monterrey with exposure to global teams and projects

Major responsibilities and tasks of the position:

  • Support digital transformation and Manufacturing 4.0 projects from problem definition and requirements gathering through pilot, implementation, adoption, and sustainment.
  • Partner with manufacturing teams to identify operational opportunities and implement digital solutions such as dashboards, data collection workflows, traceability solutions, MES-related initiatives, and automation projects.
  • Collect, validate, and analyze manufacturing data and support reporting and visualization using tools such as Power BI, SQL, Python, Grafana, or similar technologies.
  • Work across business and technical teams to translate manufacturing needs into clear digital requirements, support user adoption, and help scale successful solutions across operations.

What do you need to have?

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering, Digital Transformation, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Automation, or a related technical field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing, process engineering, industrial engineering, automation, data analytics, or digital transformation, including hands-on exposure to a manufacturing environment.
  • Practical experience supporting or implementing digital, automation, data, dashboard, MES, data acquisition, or other technology-related projects in manufacturing.
  • Hands-on experience with data analysis, reporting, or visualization tools such as Power BI, SQL, Python, Grafana, Excel, or similar platforms.Ability to understand manufacturing or business problems and translate them into practical digital solutions while collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, presentation, problem-solving, and influencing skills, with the ability to support adoption of new digital tools and work effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Advanced technical and business English, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate regularly with global teams.
