ABOUT US

Bleacher Athletic is the sports division of Cotton On Group, creating licensed apparel and fanwear across the AFL, AFLW and NRL.

Alongside this, we are the team behind Upstate Sport - a fast-growing women’s activewear brand born in the studio and built for real life. Designed to move seamlessly from workout to everyday wear, Upstate Sport blends performance, style and community.

With exciting growth plans ahead, this is an opportunity to join the brand at a pivotal stage and help shape what’s next.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Upstate Sport is looking for a part-time (3 days per week) Digital Designer with a strong social-first mindset to help bring the brand to life.

This newly created role is ideal for someone who understands how to design content that cuts through - balancing strong brand aesthetics with engaging, performance-led creative. Working within a small and fast-moving team, you’ll create digital assets across social, ecommerce, paid media, EDM and campaign moments that feel elevated, relevant and built for modern platforms.

You’ll play a key role in shaping how the brand shows up digitally, creating content that drives engagement, brand awareness and commercial performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design engaging, social-first creative across Instagram, TikTok, paid social, ecommerce and EDM
  • Create digital assets for campaigns, launches, brand moments and always-on content
  • Translate briefs into compelling and on-brand creative concepts
  • Ensure all creative feels elevated, cohesive and aligned to the Upstate Sport visual identity
  • Design content with a strong understanding of social trends, digital behaviour and platform best practice
  • Continuously explore new creative trends, formats and ideas to keep the brand visually relevant and engaging

WHO YOU ARE

  • Strong understanding of digital design, social content and visual storytelling
  • You understand what makes people stop scrolling
  • Creative, proactive and highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Strong design eye with the ability to balance brand and performance
  • Comfortable working across both campaign creative and day-to-day content execution
  • Collaborative, adaptable and confident working within a smaller team environment
  • You're passionate about wellness, movement and digital culture

About Cotton On Group

Our purpose has always been to make a positive difference in people’s lives, and our team and customers are at the heart of this.

We started in 1988, with our first ‘shop’ being the boot of a Ford Bronco parked at The Beckley Market in Geelong, Australia. Inside? A stack of denim jackets; it was the start of something big.

Our vision is to take our eight Aussie lifestyle brands to the world, delivering Good along the way. And we know that our responsibility goes far beyond selling great products. We work to prioritise people and the planet, while making products our customers love, ones that we can all be proud of.

We’re a diverse bunch from all around the world who love to think big. We live for a challenge and give anything a go. We work hard and pride ourselves on creating an environment free from hierarchy and ego. One that promotes creativity and self-expression, allowing our team to do what they do best. We look after our people 24/7 – not just when they’re at work, but outside of it too. Since day one, our team members have been like great mates to us – and you look after your mates. We support and empower our team members to be the healthiest versions of themselves. And we keep it real, always.

We’re customer-obsessed in everything we do, and believe us when we say the obsession is real!

When you join our team, you’re part of something bigger – you’re here to be inspired, to learn, to do the right thing, and above all else, to make a positive difference.

20,000 people. 8 brands. 20 countries. 1,300 stores (and counting) and one life-changing Foundation. That's Cotton On Group.
