As a Digital Content Creator II, you will work in a daily writing role, creating diverse weekly assignments to support the editorial team. In this role, you will create trustworthy, easy-to-understand health information content for Cleveland Clinic’s website, covering complex, sensitive, and nuanced topics that require an understanding of Cleveland Clinic’s content ecosystem. You will collaborate with SEO, operations, and graphics teams, as well as Marketing & Communications and teams throughout Cleveland Clinic. This position will flex more between Health Library and Essentials, providing greater variety in content. You will also be more involved in editorial reviews, paid content campaigns, and internal communications, with more interaction with physician reviewers and email campaigns.

A caregiver in this role works remotely, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. with flexibility.

Minimal travel is required, limited to one team retreat per year.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • Write accurate, high-quality medical content that’s consistent with Cleveland Clinic’s brand voice.
  • Research health topics and/or interview clinical sources.
  • Translate complex medical and scientific information into accessible and comprehensive language for patients and the general public.
  • Understand style guides and SEO keyword best practices.
  • Consistently meet writing deadlines.
  • Incorporate medical edits from SEO experts and medical reviewers into finished copy.
  • Manage multiple competing priorities with an ability to prioritize, solve problems and set expectations.
  • Seek out and engage regularly with peers, creating an environment of exchange and learning.
  • Openly share successes and failures to promote the group’s collective learning.
  • Create a variety of content types, such as managing email newsletters with our email team, serving as a podcast host, writing video scripts or other special projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Three years of experience writing, editing, researching and preparing material for publication
  • OR High School/GED and seven years of experience
  • OR Associate’s degree and five years of experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite
  • Understanding style guides and SEO keyword best practices
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities with an ability to prioritize, solve problems and set expectations

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Digital Marketing, English, healthcare or closely related field
  • Healthcare experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to do computer work for extended periods.
  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
