DIGITAL CONTENT COORDINATOR

The Digital Content Coordinator develops and executes Preston Trail’s digital content strategy across social media and other digital platforms. This role partners with the Communications Director and ministry teams to share biblical teaching, ministry content, and stories that to shape content that supports Preston Trail’s mission of helping people find and follow Jesus Christ and encourage communication priorities, engages our audiences, and helps people take meaningful next steps in their faith journey.

This role manages Preston Trail’s social media presence, digital content, podcasts, livestream distribution, digital engagement, and digital advertising while building and leading volunteer content teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute Preston Trail’s digital content strategy in partnership with the Communications Director.
  • Manage Preston Trail’s primary social media channels, including content planning, creation, publishing, and engagement.
  • Provide oversight and direction for ministry-based social media accounts, establishing standards, aligning content with Preston Trail’s biblical beliefs, ministry priorities, and communication standards, churchwide strategy and brand, and coaching ministry staff and volunteers who contribute to those channels.
  • Maintain the digital content calendar, aligning with churchwide priorities and ministry needs.
  • Identify and create relevant, engaging written, photo, and video content for digital platforms.
  • Partner with the Communications Director and Creative Team to bring Preston Trail stories, biblical teaching, ministry messages, and worship content to life digitally.
  • Engage with individuals through Preston Trail’s digital platforms by providing appropriate spiritual encouragement and connecting people to prayer, ministry resources, and next steps in their faith journey.
  • Produce and publish Preston Trail podcasts in partnership with the Production Team.
  • Oversee weekend livestream distribution across social media, website, and app.
  • Manage organic and paid digital campaigns, using performance data and audience insights to improve results.
  • Stay current on digital trends, platform changes, and emerging opportunities.
  • Recruit, train, lead, and encourage volunteer content creators helping them understand how their service and digital content support Preston Trail’s mission of helping people find and follow Jesus Christ.who expand Preston Trail’s digital content capacity.

  • Creative thinker with a strong creative eye and instincts for developing relevant, engaging content.
  • Strong writer with the ability to adapt messaging for digital audiences.
  • Able to create and capture quality photo, video, and social content with a strong sense of composition, visual storytelling, and brand.
  • Comfortable using analytics and insights to evaluate and improve content.
  • Organized and able to manage multiple channels, priorities, and deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to recruit, train, and lead volunteers.
  • Demonstrates initiative, flexibility, curiosity, and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Relevant digital content, social media, marketing, or communications experience preferred.
