A Day in the Life

Nestlé is seeking a highly analytical and forward-thinking Digital Commerce Supervisor to lead initiatives that strengthen our understanding of the evolving eCommerce landscape and translate insights into actionable opportunities for the business.

This role is responsible for driving excellence in digital commerce monitoring, competitive intelligence, marketplace analysis, and emerging commerce initiatives. The successful candidate will leverage tools such as NielsenIQ Digital Shelf and other analytical platforms to identify performance opportunities, monitor competitors, explore innovative commerce solutions, and support the acceleration of Nestlé's digital growth agenda.

The role requires strong collaboration with global and market stakeholders to transform data and trends into recommendations that improve visibility, execution, shopper engagement, and commercial performance across online channels.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Commerce Performance Monitoring

  • Lead monitoring activities across NielsenIQ Digital Shelf and other eCommerce intelligence platforms.
  • Identify performance gaps, emerging trends, and opportunities related to availability, assortment, pricing, promotions, ratings and reviews, content execution, and digital shelf visibility.
  • Develop regular reporting and insights that support commercial and strategic decision-making.

Competitive Intelligence & Market Scanning

  • Establish robust competitive monitoring processes across marketplaces, quick commerce, social commerce, and retailer platforms.
  • Conduct periodic competitor benchmarking covering pricing, promotions, assortment strategies, content execution, and shopper activation programs.
  • Proactively identify best practices and opportunities that can be adopted across Nestlé markets.

Digital Commerce Innovation & Emerging Solutions

  • Explore and pilot new capabilities that enhance eCommerce effectiveness.
  • Monitor developments in social commerce, livestream commerce, AI-enabled solutions, retail media, creator ecosystems, conversational commerce, and other emerging digital commerce trends.
  • Partner with stakeholders to test, evaluate, and scale innovative commerce solutions where relevant.

Pricing & Promotion Intelligence

  • Lead initiatives related to online price monitoring and promotion tracking.
  • Analyze pricing dynamics across key retailers and marketplaces to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
  • Support markets with actionable recommendations based on pricing insights and competitive activity.

Social Commerce & Livestream Excellence

  • Support initiatives focused on social commerce, and emerging marketplace models.
  • Identify replicable success factors and recommend scalable practices across markets.

Project Management & Execution

  • Lead implementation of new monitoring frameworks, analytical capabilities, and innovation initiatives.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring timely delivery and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Support onboarding of new tools, services, and analytical methodologies.

Team Leadership

  • Coach and develop Digital Commerce Specialists.
  • Foster a culture of curiosity, innovation, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision making.
  • Ensure effective workload management and capability development across the team.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build effective partnerships with market, global, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Present insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
  • Align initiatives with broader Digital Commerce and Category objectives.

What Will Make You Successful

  • Education Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Ecommerce, Digital Media, Data Analytics, Economics, or related fields.
  • Experience
    • 3+ years of experience in eCommerce, Digital Commerce, Category Management, Commercial Excellence, Business Analytics, or related functions.
    • Experience working with marketplace platforms, digital shelf tools, or digital commerce analytics.
    • Previous experience leading projects and coordinating stakeholders across multiple teams.
    • Team leadership or supervisory experience is an advantage.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong proficiency in NielsenIQ Digital Shelf and eCommerce monitoring platforms.
    • Experience with digital commerce analytics, reporting, and insight generation.
    • Understanding of marketplace ecosystems including Amazon, Shopee, Lazada, TikTok Shop, and emerging commerce platforms.
    • Advanced Excel, Power BI, or similar analytical tools.
  • Analytical & Strategic Thinking:
    • Strong ability to translate large data sets into actionable business recommendations.
    • Ability to identify opportunities, anticipate trends, and drive proactive initiatives.
    • Commercial acumen and understanding of digital commerce drivers.
  • Leadership & Communication
    • Ability to influence stakeholders across different markets and functions.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead through ambiguity and manage multiple priorities
