We are currently looking for a Digital Business Partner, who will build and sustain trusted relationships with business stakeholders through responsive, transparent communication and reliable follow-through. The Digital Business Partner is the day-to-day IT contact for an assigned business domain, capturing business needs and translating them into clear IT requirements. The role is responsible for digital demand intake and digital lifecycle alignment among Business and IT stakeholders. The role ensures that IT capabilities are applied to deliver measurable outcomes aligned with the domain's business plans and objectives.

What will you do:

  • Serves as a day-to-day IT point of contact for assigned business domain stakeholders (BU teams, functional leads), building and sustaining trust through responsive, transparent and proactive communication and reliable follow-through on commitments.
  • Captures business needs, questions and concerns, keeps stakeholders informed of IT activities, timelines and status, and escalates issues and risks promptly to the Digital Business Partner Manager.
  • Ensures continuous alignment between Business Partners of different domains by aligning on cross domain priorities, initiatives, and resources demand.
  • Promotes transparent communication and cross-functional collaboration to ensure the successful delivery of solutions aligned with business objectives and strategic direction.
  • Develops and maintains a working understanding of the business processes, technology landscape and application ecosystem within the assigned domain, identifying opportunities where digital, data, AI and analytics solutions can enhance business processes, operational efficiency and decision-making.
  • Brings forward insights on market and technology trends and on interdependencies between BUs and IT systems, supporting alignment of domain initiatives with the broader IT & Digital Transformation strategy.
  • Supports the adoption of new digital solutions through coordinated communication, training and transition activities. Can undertake Product Ownership responsibilities by contributing to backlog prioritization, stakeholder alignment, and delivery of business value.
  • Supports the demand intake process for the assigned domain, gathering, documenting and analysing business needs, change requests and initiative requests so they are properly identified and submitted through the appropriate governance processes.
  • Translates business needs into clear, complete requirements, prepares demand submissions with sound business justification, and supports prioritization and the identification of resource and timeline requirements for planning and delivery.
  • Tracks assigned domain projects, change requests and delivery activities, follows progress against scope, quality, timeline and budget standards under the applicable delivery methodology (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid). Liaises day-to-day with delivery teams, flagging technical risks, issues and cross-functional dependencies for mitigation and escalation, and coordinates and advises in testing, quality assurance and production-readiness/UAT activities ahead of release, staying inline with the delivery teams guidelines.
  • Stays informed and aligned throughout the software development lifecycle of digital projects, maintaining visibility across project stages and resource needs.
  • Provides guidance and business context to the Business Units when needed, supporting implementation activities upon request from the delivery teams.
  • Ensures accurate and up-to-date documentation of requirements, demand, delivery status and service records for the assigned domain, providing a reliable knowledge base for stakeholders and IT teams.
  • Shares knowledge with peers, contributes to a collaborative, accountable and business-oriented team culture, and pursues continuous professional development and improvement of Business Partner practices.
  • Facilitates the alignment of business initiatives, solutions, and services with IT & Digital governance frameworks, security policies, data privacy requirements, and architectural standards.
  • Partners with architecture, security, and IT teams to embed these considerations early in demand and solution discussions, represents business domain requirements, and helps ensure solutions are fit for the organization’s broader technology landscape.

What you need to be successful:

  • A BSc in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Statistics, Management Information Systems (MIS), Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A MSc will be considered as an asset.
  • At least 10 years of working experience in an IT projects and applications relating role, with at least 5 years responsibilities in business apps analysis and implementations in business related digital initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, with the ability to act as a trusted partner between Business and IT and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Proven experience in business analysis, requirements management, demand prioritization and translating business needs into impactful digital solutions.
  • Capability to assess and articulate the financial and business value of initiatives by defining relevant value metrics, monitoring performance, and reporting outcomes against expected benefits.
  • Ability to coordinate communication, training, and transition activities to support adoption of new digital solutions and manage organizational change effectively.
  • Understanding of emerging digital trends including AI, analytics, automation, and data solutions to identify opportunities for business process enhancement and operational efficiency.
  • Understanding of technology, application, data, and integration architectures to represent domain requirements and ensure solution consistency with organizational standards.
  • Understanding of QA processes, testing strategies, UAT coordination, and production readiness validation to ensure delivery meets defined quality standards.
  • Understanding of Agile (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe), Waterfall, and hybrid approaches, including Product Ownership responsibilities such as backlog prioritization, value-driven decision making, and stakeholder alignment, to ensure appropriate methodology selection and governance of digital initiatives.
  • Capability to manage data and reporting processes, ensuring data quality and consistency, while delivering meaningful reports and dashboards that support monitoring, performance tracking, and informed decision-making.
  • Proactively identifies opportunities to deliver business value by continuously reviewing processes and operations, anticipating needs, and proposing improvements or technology solutions ahead of demand.
  • Translates complex IT concepts into clear business language, ensuring transparent and proactive communication with diverse stakeholders while managing expectations and maintaining trust.
  • Builds deep understanding of business domain needs, pain points, and priorities, ensuring IT services and solutions are responsive, relevant, and consistently aligned with stakeholder expectations.
  • Strongly understands and applies architecture principles to shape scalable, secure, and integrated technology solutions. Ensures business domain initiatives align with enterprise architecture standards, target-state roadmaps, and long-term technology strategy.
