Are you an emerging Business Analyst looking for the opportunity to learn, grow and make a genuine impact? Baby Bunting is investing in digital innovation, omni customer experience and technology and we're looking for a Digital Business Analyst to join our growing Digital team.

This career accelerating role is ideal for someone early in their BA career to gain exposure to a broad range of digital and technology initiatives while working alongside experienced leaders, product specialists and delivery professionals. You'll develop your skills, contribute to meaningful projects and play a role in shaping experiences for customers and team members across Australia and New Zealand.

Why this role matters

Online has grown into an important part of Baby Bunting's business, but our focus is broader than online alone. We're building connected omnichannel experiences that help customers discover products, transact, receive their orders and access support in the way that works for them.

You'll support the Purchase & Post-Purchase squad, working on practical customer journeys across areas such as payments, fulfilment, delivery and support. The role sits in a small, collaborative team that works cross functionally with internal team such as Technology, Customer Care, fulfilment teams, vendors and colleagues who run and trade the website and marketplace.

Like what you hear so far? Here's what's ahead of you:

• Taking a hands-on role in digital initiatives, enhancements and projects from idea through to delivery, launch and optimisation
• Understanding customer and business needs, researching opportunities and helping validate solutions
• Working with UX colleagues to define customer flows and translate agreed requirements into delivery-ready work
• Creating clear user stories and tickets in Jira, breaking larger initiatives into work that developers and QA teams can estimate, build and test
• Working with developers, testers, Technology teams and external vendors to clarify requirements and keep delivery moving
• Using a practical understanding of APIs, data and system integrations when working across connected and downstream systems
• Supporting initiatives across the purchase and post-purchase journey, including payments, fulfilment, delivery and customer support
• Bringing a make-it-happen attitude and contributing beyond simply writing requirements

If you've gotten this far, then you're up for the challenge. I'm not going to give you the usual laundry list of requirements, but this stuff is pretty much essential:

• Around 2-3 years' experience as a technical Business Analyst, Digital Business Analyst or in a similar role; you’ll likely have backed this with tertiary qualifications in Business, Information Technology or a related discipline (Bachelor's degree preferred)
• You are a citizen or permanent resident of Australia
• A hands-on, proactive approach and evidence that you have helped move an initiative through multiple stages of delivery
• The ability to gather requirements and turn them into clear user stories, tickets and acceptance criteria
• Enough technical confidence to discuss APIs, data and system integrations at a high level; this could come from practical experience, study or strong familiarity
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across business and technical teams
• Curiosity, drive and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment

It would be nice, but not essential, if you also come with:

• eCommerce or online retail experience
• Experience gained in a smaller digital or eCommerce business where you have had broad, hands-on responsibility
• Experience working with external technology vendors
• Exposure to customer-facing purchase, payment, fulfilment or post-purchase journeys
