Location: Any Frazer-Nash office location with flexible hybrid working between office, client sites and home.

We are looking for an experienced Digital & AI Portfolio Manager to play a key role in shaping and governing our integrated Digital & AI portfolio in a complex, regulated and assurance-led environment.

This is a senior position responsible for ensuring Digital products, Data MI initiatives, Automation and AI programmes are prioritised, sequenced and governed effectively to deliver value and support strategic business objectives. You will provide evidence-led advice to senior stakeholders, helping them make informed decisions around investment, risk, dependencies, capacity and benefits realisation.

Working across a diverse portfolio of Digital & AI initiatives, you will shape business priorities, oversee governance excellence and provide leadership for portfolio management practices across the function. This is an exciting opportunity to guide the future direction of Digital & AI delivery within Frazer-Nash and help realise the value of strategic technology investments.

The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio, programme or business change leadership background, with experience that should include several of the following:

  • Managing and governing complex digital, technology, data, automation or AI portfolios.
  • Managing portfolio demand, prioritisation, sequencing and investment decisions.
  • Developing value cases, benefits realisation frameworks and performance reporting.
  • Managing capacity, dependencies, risks and competing priorities across multiple initiatives.
  • Producing decision-ready governance packs and recommendations for senior leadership teams.
  • Working closely with product owners, delivery teams, technical leads and business stakeholders to ensure good outcomes.
  • Providing guidance and direction where business cases, delivery readiness or benefits assumptions require improvement.
  • Supporting portfolio-level planning, governance and continuous improvement activities.
  • Helping to deliver transparency, accountability and value-focused decision making across a portfolio.
  • Building and embedding effective portfolio management practices, frameworks and ways of working.

Essential Requirements:

  • Significant experience in portfolio or programme leadership within digital, technology, data, automation, AI or business change environments.
  • Demonstrated experience managing integrated portfolios, including demand intake, prioritisation, sequencing, capacity management and dependency management.
  • Demonstrated experience developing value cases, benefits tracking approaches and delivery confidence reporting.
  • Experience preparing governance materials and presenting recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Good analytical skills with the ability to manage ambiguity, competing priorities and complex dependencies.
  • Experience operating within agile, product, programme and governance delivery environments.
  • Solid communication, reporting and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to engage senior stakeholders constructively using evidence, insight and clear recommendations.
  • Experience developing portfolio management capability, governance routines and best practice.
  • Strategic mindset with a clear focus on value, outcomes, risk management and delivery confidence.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience working within regulated or assurance-led environments.
  • Experience managing Digital, Data, AI or enterprise transformation portfolios.
  • Knowledge of portfolio management methodologies, frameworks and governance models.
  • Experience tracking and reporting benefits realisation at portfolio level.
  • Experience supporting investment planning and business case development.
  • Understanding of Digital, Data, Automation and AI delivery lifecycles.
  • Experience developing portfolio dashboards, reporting frameworks and decision-support tools.
  • Exposure to risk, security and assurance processes within complex organisations.
  • Professional qualifications in portfolio, programme or project management.
  • Experience coaching and mentoring colleagues on portfolio management principles and best practice.

Due to the nature of the work that Frazer-Nash Consultancy undertake, candidates will be required to undergo pre-employment screening and must be able to satisfy clearance criteria for UK National Security Vetting.
