Digital Account Operations Specialist
The Digital Account Operations Specialist is responsible for the review and decisioning of new client applications and advanced processing of existing client change requests according to regulatory requirements and departmental processes and procedures. Working under moderate to low supervision, this job supports other banking professionals to ensure that critical tasks are completed on time.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Reviews and processes new client applications according to regulatory requirements related to Know Your Customer (KYC), Customer Identification Program (CIP), and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).
- Validates client information using third-party verification tools such as Lexis Nexis and Experian.
- Performs advanced application research regarding client-submitted applications before onboarding and responding to client inquiries.
- Handles complex title applications such as trusts and estates; handles existing client title change requests.
- Performs client outreach utilizing verification tools to obtain necessary documents from the new client before onboarding; performs due diligence checks and questions related to client-submitted applications.
- Ensures work is properly safeguarded and controlled in accordance with banking policies and procedures.
- Supports training of new team members.
- Assists with user acceptance testing (UAT) where applicable.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in operational account services and customer support within a banking environment.
- Strong knowledge of banking operations, procedures, and regulatory requirements, with a proven ability to ensure compliance.
- Experienced in reviewing and processing new client applications in accordance with KYC, CIP, and OFAC guidelines.
- Skilled in validating customer information through third-party verification tools, including LexisNexis and Experian.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and various banking platforms and software applications.
- Demonstrated ability to research and resolve issues while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
