The Commercial & Investment Bank provides strategic advice, raises capital, manages risk and extends liquidity in markets around the world.

As a Digital Accessibility Specialist within the Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) at JPMorgan Chase, you will help ensure that every person, regardless of ability, can fully use our digital products and services. You will work with developers and designers across a variety of web and mobile applications, including our open-source Salt design system, to remove the barriers that prevent people from having an equal experience. You will apply and continue to develop your knowledge of digital accessibility standards, testing methodologies, and assistive technologies. Working alongside experienced accessibility leads, you will support Product and Technology teams in creating digital products that put users first and conform to accessibility standards.

Job responsibilities

  • Conduct digital accessibility testing of Salt design system components, mobile applications, websites, and content using assistive technologies and manual evaluation techniques.
  • Identify accessibility barriers based on WCAG 2.1 standards and compliance with applicable regulations including the ADA, Section 508, and the European Accessibility Act (EAA), and suggest potential solutions.
  • Document accessibility issues and findings with clear and actionable recommendations for remediation.
  • Navigate and collaborate within GitHub-based projects, including participating in code reviews, issue tracking, and component-level accessibility evaluations.
  • Find compliant and creative solutions to accessibility challenges while working within provided constraints such as design system patterns, existing frameworks, and technical limitations.
  • Participate in planning and stand-up meetings, collaborating with cross-functional teams including developers, designers, and product managers to address accessibility concerns.
  • Provide guidance and support on accessibility techniques, and communicate requirements to advocate for inclusive design.
  • Advocate for accessibility within the organization and promote a culture of inclusivity, including coaching colleagues in one-on-one, small group, or large forum settings.
  • Identify, report, and drive improvements to product features by using data on accessibility issues within products.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 3+ years of experience in digital accessibility, related programs, or functions.
  • Hands-on experience conducting accessibility testing with assistive technologies (for example screen readers, magnifiers, alternative input devices, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of core web technologies: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • A willingness to learn and grow in accessibility, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across tactical and strategic initiatives.
  • Initiative and autonomy coupled with an ability to function successfully as part of a team (in person and virtual).
  • Good communication and collaboration skills, able to present status, facts, thoughts, and ideas in a clear and organized manner.
  • Comfort working with version control systems (e.g., GitHub) and contributing to collaborative, open-source workflows.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience working within or contributing to a design system.
  • Familiarity with ARIA authoring practices and common accessible design patterns.
  • Creative problem-solver who can balance compliance requirements with user experience goals.
