Sodexo is seeking a Registered Dietitian to join a dynamic clinical team at SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital – Lake Saint Louis, a 216-bed acute care hospital with a 30-bed acute rehabilitation unit.

This position is a Dietitian Nutritionist (DN) Level III role. While classification may be reviewed based on qualifications, the role is intended to function at the DN III level due to its leadership responsibilities. What You'll Do

  • Direct and execute the Nutrition Care Process for specialized clinical practice across multiple inpatient units, including ICU and acute care rehabilitation
  • Deliver evidence-based nutrition education to patients and families based on individualized care plans
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and interdisciplinary teams to advance the role of nutrition in supporting optimal patient outcomes
  • Manage a daily caseload independently while effectively prioritizing patient and team needs
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Develop and lead performance improvement (PI) activities within the department and across hospital-wide multidisciplinary teams
  • Serve as a nutrition expert for assigned patient care areas/service lines, peers, and foodservice operations to ensure the provision of safe, high-quality care
  • Provide professional guidance to support the development of competent and proficient practitioners; may function in a lead role with oversight of clinical nutrition and/or patient foodservice staff

What You Bring

  • Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential
  • Eligible for licensure in Missouri

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hireCertification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire

Minimum Management Experience: 7+ months general supervision

Minimum Functional Experience: 3 years experienced specialized practitioner in a clinical specialty
