Park Nicollet is looking to hire a Dietitian to join our Melrose Center team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.
The Dietitian provides Medical Nutrition Therapy through screening, assessment and education with monitoring and follow-up of recommendations. Patients may be seen in an individual or group setting. Serves as a professional nutrition resource for PNHS serving its patients, employees, community and providers.
This position is specifically the Registered Dietitian for the Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program at Melrose. Your responsibilities will include:
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Liaison between the nutrition department, food services, patients and staff.
Delivers patient education and care to best meet the identified needs of the patient including materials, resources, grocery store tours, cooking experiences, food exposures and use of interpreters.
Uses therapeutic counseling skills such as DBT to be effective in addressing crisis management.
Responsibility of a specialty RD to implement research-based protocols and procedures as identified by the treatment team as best practice including FBT, ARFID, CBT-E.
Facilitates educational programs, groups, and meal experiences.
Work Schedule:
7am - 4pm on M, Tu, Th, F
Required Qualifications:
Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
BA or BS in Nutrition and Dietetics from an accredited college or university.
Completed an accredited internship, traineeship, CUP program or other acceptable route to ADA registration status.
Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
Registered with the American Dietetic Association (RD).
Licensed Dietitian
Must have a valid driver’s license and meet the insurability requirements relating to Park Nicollet’s motor vehicle violation criteria.
This position requires credentialing, following the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) guidelines.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proven proficiency in the operation of the following: Personal Computer, Telephone, Fax Machine, Photocopier, Printer, and electronic medical record.
Demonstrated knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.
Familiarity and compliance with matters of law, regulations and internal policies affecting the employment relationship, (including but not limited to FMLA, ADA, discrimination, and harassment laws).
